About The Position

The Director, HR Shared Services is a builder and operational leader responsible for establishing, standardizing, and continuously improving the HR service delivery infrastructure at United Health Services. This role provides strategic and day-to-day leadership across three interconnected functions: HR Connect (the enterprise employee and manager services team), HR Compliance, and HR Communications — including recruitment marketing. As a core member of the HR leadership team, the Director, HR Shared Services serves as the operational backbone of the HR function — ensuring that employees and leaders across all UHS campuses and care sites can access HR support that is consistent, responsive, accurate, and aligned to the UHS employee experience. This leader brings a builder's mindset: capable of designing infrastructure from the ground up, establishing service-level standards, and building a team culture grounded in customer service, accountability, and continuous improvement. The Director also serves as a key partner in UHS's HR transformation journey — supporting Workday optimization, the development of self-service capabilities, and the evolution of HR service delivery toward a scalable, technology-enabled model that frees HR Business Partners and strategic HR leaders to focus on high-value work.
