This role will support the North Carolina & GA LAIS Division. The Director of Healthcare Language Access and Interpreter Services will direct multi-region language services operations across assigned geographic areas (Illinois, Wisconsin, or North Carolina/Southeast). This position involves developing and managing 3-4 managers through coaching, mentoring, performance management, and succession planning. The Director will set strategic direction for regional language services operations aligned with enterprise goals and priorities, and drive enterprise initiatives including operational standardization, quality improvement, and service expansion. Responsibilities also include overseeing interpreter management and operational support, leading functional enablement activities, managing community engagement programs, overseeing safety event management, and coordinating with the Control Tower on teammate operations and interpreter scheduling. The role requires driving quality standards, regulatory compliance, and patient experience, building strategic partnerships with clinical leadership and community organizations, and managing P&L accountability including budget development and contract negotiation. Ensuring compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements, reporting enterprise-level results to AVP leadership, and sponsoring change programs are also key aspects of this position. The Director will lead innovation initiatives and partnership development to advance language services capabilities and develop a talent pipeline through manager development and succession planning.
