About The Position

The Director of Health Information Management oversees and facilitates medical staff services functions and manages health information management functions in accordance with regulatory requirements. The role facilitates and ensures continuous readiness for The Joint Commission. The director demonstrates and encourages teamwork and exceptional patient and guest experiences, while upholding and promoting patient safety and quality.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in a health-related field.
• Experience as a medical staff coordinator, supervisor, or manager in an acute care facility.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Computer skills.
• Demonstrated leadership ability, good judgment, and self-motivation.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor of Science in health information management preferred.
• CPMSM or CPCS certification preferred.

Responsibilities
