About The Position

Clive Behavioral Health opened in February 2021 with 100 inpatient beds for adult, child & adolescent patients experiencing a severe behavioral health crisis. Care at this location focuses on crisis management, stabilization and development of a plan to return to community living with, if needed, supportive outpatient services and community services and resources. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field required.
  • Two (2) years experience in a supervisory / managerial role in health information management and ICD-10 Coding preferred.
  • RHIA or RHIT Certification

  • ICD-10 Coding preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assuring that records are kept confidential, secure, current, authenticated, legible, and complete.
  • Safeguarding records and informational content against loss, defacement, and tampering, as well as from use by unauthorized individuals.
  • Providing services necessary for prompt retrieval of information, both clinical (diagnosis codes) and statistical (admissions, etc.).
  • Providing for transcription of clinical dictation and utilization review for third party payors.
  • Overseeing release of information within state and federal confidentiality guidelines.
  • Serving as HIPAA Security Officer, assuring the ongoing management of information policy, procedure and technical systems in order to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all facility information systems.
