About The Position

Clive Behavioral Health opened in February 2021 with 100 inpatient beds for adult, child & adolescent patients experiencing a severe behavioral health crisis. Care at this location focuses on crisis management, stabilization and development of a plan to return to community living with, if needed, supportive outpatient services and community services and resources. Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Health Information Management or related field required.
Two (2) years experience in a supervisory / managerial role in health information management and ICD-10 Coding preferred.
RHIA or RHIT Certification

Responsibilities

Assuring that records are kept confidential, secure, current, authenticated, legible, and complete.
Safeguarding records and informational content against loss, defacement, and tampering, as well as from use by unauthorized individuals.
Providing services necessary for prompt retrieval of information, both clinical (diagnosis codes) and statistical (admissions, etc.).
Providing for transcription of clinical dictation and utilization review for third party payors.
Overseeing release of information within state and federal confidentiality guidelines.
Serving as HIPAA Security Officer, assuring the ongoing management of information policy, procedure and technical systems in order to maintain the confidentiality, integrity and availability of all facility information systems.
