The Director, Global Supplier Maintenance is accountable for defining and executing the global strategy operating Model, and performance outcomes for Visa’s supplier data maintenance and enablement capabilities. This role operates within a complex, diverse, international, and multi-currency environment and plays a critical role in supporting Visa’s finance transformation objectives.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD) or at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams and operations in a complex, global, and multi-currency environment.
  • Proven ability to operate at a strategic leadership level, with accountability for outcomes across multiple geographies and stakeholders.
  • Experience managing aspects of the Procure to Pay process, including due diligence tasks, global payments, and management of large volume of data.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft office applications, Oracle Financials, Service Now, and SAP product suite of Ariba and Concur.

Responsibilities

  • Own the global strategy and operating model for supplier data maintenance, ensuring alignment with Visa’s fiancé transformation goals and enterprise priorities
  • Provide Executive oversite of global operations, with accountability for key performance metrics including turnaround time, SLA attainment, productivity, quality, risk, and control effectiveness.
  • Build process safeguards to ensure 100% follow-through on requests, ensure proper follow-up and completion by team members.
  • Lead and develop a globally distributed organization, establishing consistent approaches to queue management, workload balancing, backlog mitigation, escalation resolution, and service delivery across regions.
  • Partner with key stakeholders, including Sourcing, Risk, Compliance to seamlessly integrate them into the on-boarding process to systematically review and approve onboarding tasks.
  • Drive Visa’s global supplier enablement strategy, including leadership of the Ariba network adoption initiative, supplier onboarding integration, and achievement of high adoption rates across Visa’s supplier base.
  • Take leadership role in the re-design of the supplier onboarding process, including a partnership with Sourcing to simplify workflow, reduction of SLAs, and better response time to requestors.
  • Utilize AI tools to revolutionize the way data is gathered, including introduction of AI Chatbots to improve the quality of data on internal intakes and build a simplified supplier portal, powered by AI, to gather relevant data from suppliers to complete onboarding tasks.
  • Partner with senior finance leaders and global peers to continuously improve and scale processes through automation, standardization, and simplification, enabling the organization to support increasing transaction volumes and business complexity.
  • Oversee preparation, analysis and executive reporting of global metrics, using data-driven insights to identify bottlenecks, prioritize requests, and drive sustainable process improvements.
  • Build metrics through automation tools, such as Power BI dashboards, to produce real-time visibility of request status, queue management, and internal productivity metrics.
  • Serve as the primary executive liaison for internal audit, SOX and compliance activities, ensuring strong governance, and audit readiness, timely issue remediation, and ongoing control effectiveness.
