About The Position

Booking Holdings is seeking a Director, Global Investigations Services to join their Compliance & Ethics team. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and improving the global investigation program. The Director will report to the VP, Investigations and collaborate with global brands and subsidiaries to ensure effective compliance investigations. The position is eligible for a hybrid work model, requiring two days in the office.

Requirements

JD or equivalent required
Experience investigating complex compliance concerns in a matrixed and cross-jurisdictional environment
Experience designing and implementing company-wide investigation best-practices, including relating to intake of concerns, communications with concern raisers, conducting interviews, and drafting investigation reports that can withstand internal and external scrutiny
Experience supporting diverse and global teams
Proven experience driving investigation excellence with large scale global programs
Experience working on a global team, capable of delegation, team building, and strategic leadership, driving alignment and consensus
Highest levels of integrity
Outstanding verbal and written communication skills, with excellent presentation skills and demonstrated ability to be clear and concise when communicating with global stakeholders
Proven success communicating effectively with stakeholders at all levels globally

Responsibilities

Identify and design strategic priorities for the investigation program in collaboration with the VP, Investigations, and implement these priorities and the program effectively across all global brands and subsidiaries.
Drive continuous improvement of the investigation program, including the management of the investigation docket and collaboration with key global stakeholders.
Oversee the concern-raising hotline, managing intake, triage, and assignment of concerns to foster a speak-up culture.
Review, design, and lead improved collaboration methods with other functions such as HR, Security, and Legal.
Monitor the effectiveness of the investigation program in detecting and responding to potential violations of law, regulations, and internal policies, and manage necessary responses, including engagement with law enforcement.
Continuously improve and maintain the investigation program in line with effective investigation guidance.
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements for investigations across diverse jurisdictions.
Lead the day-to-day management of the global investigation docket, overseeing concerns from triage to closure and reviewing investigation reports for quality and consistency.
Mentor and advise investigators globally.
Engage with senior business leaders and stakeholders in Legal, HR, and other departments regarding investigation progress, outcomes, and trend reporting, including to executive leadership.
Leverage technology to enhance investigation program effectiveness, defining key metrics, and developing processes, systems, and tools for monitoring, measuring, and reporting on investigation outcomes and trends.
Drive data analysis to support improved risk assessment by compliance teams.
Ensure proportionate and consistent discipline, appropriate remediation, and root cause analysis across brands following investigations.
Develop presentations, dashboards, reports, and other materials for senior management, business leaders, and stakeholders.
Lead, manage, and participate in other strategic initiatives and special projects.
