About The Position

Planned Parenthood Columbia Willamette (PPCW) is seeking a Director for Specialty Services & Population Health (MD/DO) to join our clinical leadership team. This is a clinically active physician leadership role that integrates direct patient care with specialty services development, population health strategy, and health equity leadership. At PPCW, you’ll help shape and deliver high-quality reproductive and sexual health care across our affiliate—ensuring care is evidence-based, equitable, and responsive to the communities we serve. This role is intentionally clinically grounded, with a substantial commitment to direct patient care alongside leadership responsibilities. You will provide specialty reproductive and gynecologic care, including abortion care, complex contraception, and outpatient procedures. Serve as a clinical leader supporting quality, safety, access, and equity across services. Translate population health and health equity strategies into clinical practice. Partner across clinical, operational, and community teams to strengthen care delivery. Mentor clinicians and contribute to training, education, and professional development. This is a developmental leadership role with defined supervisory responsibilities and close partnership with senior clinical leadership.

Requirements

  • MD or DO
  • Board Eligible or Board Certified in Obstetrics & Gynecology
  • Fellowship training or at least 2 years of relevant post-residency clinical experience
  • Eligible for unrestricted medical licensure in Oregon and Washington
  • Eligible for DEA registration and prescriptive authority
  • Demonstrated commitment to high-quality, patient-centered care
  • Experience in reproductive and gynecologic care, including procedural care
  • Ability to manage complex clinical cases and escalate appropriately
  • Interest in or experience with population health, public health, or health equity
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills in interdisciplinary environments
  • Ability to lead, mentor, and support clinician development

Responsibilities

  • Provide specialty reproductive and gynecologic care, including abortion care, complex contraception, and outpatient procedures
  • Serve as a clinical leader supporting quality, safety, access, and equity across services
  • Translate population health and health equity strategies into clinical practice
  • Partner across clinical, operational, and community teams to strengthen care delivery
  • Mentor clinicians and contribute to training, education, and professional development
  • Maintain an active clinical presence (approximately 3+ days per week), providing care that may include: First- and second-trimester abortion care, Complex contraception and early pregnancy care, Outpatient gynecologic procedures (e.g., hysteroscopy, colposcopy, LEEP), Management of complex or high-risk reproductive health cases
  • Lead and support population health and equity initiatives
  • Use data and quality metrics to improve outcomes and reduce disparities
  • Provide clinical oversight and mentorship across care teams
  • Support training programs for APCs, RNs, and physicians
