About The Position

The Director, Flex and Installment Solutions will lead all aspects of product solutioning growth and adoption across various functions from inception through deal close while building programs and automations that get from idea to launch significantly faster. This role is key for modernizing credential capability, enabling new income streams, faster distribution, and accomplishing top of wallet status for issuers. The leader and their team will drive global change, support market initiatives, and deliver consistently to unlock new payment volume aligned to strategic growth imperatives. They will work closely with various teams across Product Development, Strategy, GTM, Data Technology, Finance, Regions, Rules, Risk, and more to define and deliver accelerated sales use cases in more markets. The team will support alignment and provide narrative, tooling, and executional streamlining across all of Visa's 5 regions, directly owning, leading, and executing key cross-functional initiatives that are top management priorities. Reporting to the Senior Director, this leader will drive growth through solutioning new concepts and product constructs in partnership with regional teams, Big Tech partners, hypergrowth fintech, processors, and tier 1 issuers. The role requires developing strong cross-functional relationships to enable new prototypes and to lead the narrative and framing of existing and new solutions for regional teams. An understanding of the four-party ecosystem, card-based payments, and experiences with a primary emphasis on the issuance side, as well as integration points across buyers, issuers, acquirers, sellers, and technology platforms, is essential. This global role requires balancing regional and global opportunities, influencing and collaborating across a complex and highly matrixed organization, and providing leadership and clear vision to direct and indirect teams. The role also requires demonstrated ability to operate as an advanced user of AI-enabled tools and agent-based workflows to drive faster, higher-quality outputs, more effective planning and process, and clearer reporting.

Requirements

  • 10 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
  • at least 8 years of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters/ MBA/JD/MD)
  • at least 3 years of work experience with a PhD
  • Demonstrated success leading large scale multi market product launches and driving growth in global financial services payments fintech or technology innovation.
  • Deep product expertise including network products processing frameworks rules and complex technology ecosystems with a strong track record in product management and innovation.
  • Exceptional cross functional leadership skills with proven ability to influence at all levels align product sales, market teams, and navigate diverse regional priorities.
  • Strong analytical strategic and creative problem-solving capabilities able to synthesize complex information define ambitious goals and make data driven decisions.
  • Outstanding communication, storytelling and presentation skills adept at simplifying complexity driving clarity and building common ground across stakeholders.
  • Extensive experience in go-to-market planning sales enablement and the development of scalable playbooks frameworks and market activation strategies.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex multi-stakeholder programs with strong project management discipline and business acumen.
  • Customer centered mindset with deep experience researching user needs interpreting market trends and translating insights into meaningful product direction.
  • Proven people leadership experience overseeing senior product managers and high performing teams with a focus on coaching development and succession planning.

Responsibilities

  • Leadership of a team of payments subject matter experts primarily based in the San Francisco Bay Area providing advice and guidance on Product Development, project management, and initiative execution.
  • Lead conceptualization of new consumer experiences by shaping innovative product constructs and solution concepts in partnership with regional teams.
  • Develop solutions for global Big Tech platforms, hypergrowth fintech's and processors and tier 1 issuers.
  • Orchestrate cross functional collaboration to prototype validate and refine new experience concepts with speed and customer centric rigor.
  • Translate market insights partner feedback and emerging trends into scalable product opportunities that drive growth and differentiation.
  • Establish feedback loops with field teams to continuously refine enablement assets messaging and product readiness.
  • Review quarterly audience insights social listening data and regional market feedback to inform updates streamlining and automation.
  • Lead the framing storytelling and strategic narrative for existing and emerging solutions ensuring regional teams can effectively activate market opportunities.
  • Partner closely with regional leadership to tailor solution narratives to local needs competitive landscapes and customer priorities.
  • Act as a trusted advisor to regional teams helping translate product strategy into clear actionable guidance that accelerates adoption and market success.
  • Lead the adoption of design thinking and customer centric methodologies to deliver exceptional user experiences.
  • Embed AI into end-to-end Solution Prototype and Product Implementations.
  • Recruit mentor and develop a high performing team of senior product managers fostering a culture of innovation and collaboration.
