The Director, Finance is a key member of the corporate FP&A, enterprise analytics and reporting, and strategic financial decision support function within Perform Properties. This role requires leadership and expertise to work with our cross-functional leadership team to drive both operational efficiency and corporate financial management across the platform. This is a hands-on finance role that serves as the primary owner of corporate financial planning and enterprise performance insights. This role partners with Accounting, Treasury, Real Estate FP&A, Asset Management, real estate operations, and our affiliate shared service provider, Revantage. The role reports to Perform Properties’ Head of Finance and is the second most senior finance position in the company expected to support all areas of the platform’s finance department.

  • Advanced financial modeling skills; ability to simplify and standardize reporting outputs.
  • 7+ years of experience in commercial real estate accounting and finance, experience in the office and/or retail sector preferred.
  • Strong FP&A foundation with proven ability to own forecasting, budgeting, long-range planning, and financial storytelling.
  • Demonstrated success managing strategic vendor or partnership relationships that materially impact cost structure and/or operations.
  • Exceptional organizational and project management skills, with a strong sense of urgency and independence; comfortable navigating complexity – able to prioritize, structure work, and manage multiple initiatives in parallel.
  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business or related applicable field of study required; MBA preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary owner of the Corporate FP&A process (budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning, and scenario analysis) creating thoughtful deliverables that are fully vetted and decision-ready and align financial plans with enterprise strategy, performance objectives, and success measures.
  • Provide visibility for Perform leadership into key business drivers across the platform, including performance trends and corporate-level KPIs; develop insightful analyses around financial performance, operating expenses, and cost trends, delivering financially rigorous, visually compelling executive materials.
  • Lead enterprise analytics, integrating financial and operational data to evaluate cost efficiency, process effectiveness, and revenue drivers; partner with Portfolio FP&A and Asset Management to ensure alignment between corporate plans and asset-level strategies.
  • Be a trusted partner to the leadership team, producing recurring and ad-hoc analysis, reporting packages, and financial presentations for senior leadership.
  • Act as finance’s partner to Technology on financial systems design, dashboards, and enterprise reporting; adopt leading technology opportunities to introduce automation and simplification where applicable.
  • Support treasury and debt capital market activities led by teams at Revantage and Blackstone; deliver enhanced reporting and analytics related to the real estate debt portfolio.
  • Support risk management, insurance strategy, compliance, income tax department support, and corporate revenue initiatives in collaboration with affiliates.
  • Strengthen internal process documentation, including development of corporate finance policies and document management practices.
