About The Position

Ten Gun is looking for a hands-on, forward-thinking Finance Director who can protect the fundamentals while helping shape what comes next. This leader will own the company’s accounting, reporting, planning, cash management, controls and compliance, while serving as a trusted advisor to the CEO and senior leadership team. The right person is curious about our industry, energized by technology and able to turn financial and operational information into a clear point of view on where the company can go and how we can get there.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
  • 10+ years of progressive finance and accounting experience, including responsibility for close, reporting, planning, controls, tax and team leadership.
  • Demonstrated success as a strategic business partner to senior leadership, with the judgement to challenge assumptions and convert analysis into practical action.
  • Working knowledge of GAAP, multi-state compliance, cash management, audit coordination and internal controls.
  • Experience overseeing employer-sponsored retirement and health benefit plans, or the ability to quickly develop fluency in plan governance, vendor management and financial oversight.
  • Experience improving financial systems and processes; ERP or accounting-system implementation, BI/reporting, workflow automation, data governance or responsible AI experience is highly valued.
  • Advanced financial modeling and spreadsheet skills, with the ability to communicate complex information through clear presentations and narratives.

Responsibilities

  • Translate company goals, market dynamics and operating performance into financial priorities, scenarios and recommendations.
  • Lead the annual budget, rolling forecasts, long-range planning and scenario modeling.
  • Oversee the general ledger, month-end and year-end close, account reconciliations and timely GAAP-based financial statements.
  • Maintain clear cash forecasts and actively manage liquidity, banking relationships receivables, payables and working-capital priorities.
  • Strengthen visibility into client, project and service-line performance, including revenue, labor, utilization, realization, pricing, scope, margin and collections.
  • Maintain effective internal controls, records-retention practices and audit readiness.
  • Coordinate tax, payroll and regulatory compliance, including federal and multi-state requirements and Washington State B&O tax.
  • Partner with leadership on client and vendor contracts, compensation and profit-sharing plans, offer terms, acquisition analysis and other commitments with financial implications.
  • Manage, coach, and develop a capable accounting and finance team.
  • Improve the way Ten Gun uses systems, data and automation.
  • Assess the finance and technology stack, data flows and reporting architecture; build a practical roadmap aligned with business value, control requirements and team capacity.
  • Lead or sponsor system selection, implementation, integration and adoption across finance and adjacent workflows.
  • Use automation, business intelligence and responsible AI where they improve accuracy, speed, insight or employee experience.
  • Establish reliable definitions, ownership and quality standard for financial and operating data.
  • Simplify processes, shorten reporting cycles and improve self-service visibility while preserving sound controls and auditability.
  • Provide financial and governance oversight for Ten Gun’s employee benefit programs.
  • Oversee the financial management and governance cadence for the company’s 401(k), health and welfare benefit plans, including budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis and leadership recommendations.
  • Coordinate plan renewals, vendor and adviser reviews, fee and service benchmarking, plan-design analysis and implementation of approved changes.
  • Help maintain documented fiduciary and governance processes, including committee materials, contracts, required filings, audits, controls and retention of decisions records.
  • Partner with HR on clear employee communications and open enrollment, while maintaining confidentiality and appropriate separation of duties.
  • Escalate legal, tax, fiduciary and regulatory questions to qualified advisers.
