About The Position

Reporting into the General Manager, the Director, Finance will partner with various functions of our business, providing timely financial insights in a collaborative environment. The Director, Finance will have direct influence and impact on the strategic financial decisions within the business unit, including pricing, new product feasibility, ongoing project profitability, quarterly forecasting, customer profitability and management reporting. This role leads a team of 2-3 direct reports, providing mentorship, direction and day-to-day leadership for the finance function. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Management or a related field.
  • Professional accounting designation (CPA, CMA, or CA)
  • Minimum of 10+ years accounting and/or finance experience, minimum 5 years in a management role within Finance
  • North American travel will be required (up to 15%).

Responsibilities

  • Direct oversight of accounting operations, transactions, and internal controls (including but not limited to record to report, order to cash and procure to pay)
  • Oversee the month end processes, reconciliations and internal reporting to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including reviewing and producing period end variance reports and commentary
  • Maintains a documented system of accounting policies and procedures; implements a system of controls over accounting transactions to minimize risk.
  • Oversee the Percentage of Completion method to recognize revenue based on work performed, aligning revenue with actual costs incurred, efforts expended, or physical milestones achieved.
  • Accountable for accurate and timely monthly/quarterly financial reporting to ensure compliance with internal and external reporting (in accordance with IFRS)
  • Coordinate, analyze and present the monthly financial performance to the Executive Team, Senior Management and Modaxo
  • Own the quarterly financial forecasting process (“QSR”), including but not limited to: consideration of the sales pipeline, costs analysis (COGS and OPEX), and key drivers and assumptions.
  • Govern, with the support of the General Manger, execution of action plans from the QSR review process
  • Provide leadership, guidance and coaching to direct reports, ensuring continual development, performance expectations and engagement, performance reviews and goal setting, and fostering a collaborative team environment
  • Lead financial analysis over any new product initiatives which would include cost assessment, revenue forecasts and overall lifetime profitability
  • Responsible for working with the business to assess market pricing, new deal pricing, and sales approach for our products.
  • Monitor and input on key metrics of individual customer contracts
  • Monitor and enforce Key Performance Indicators (KPI)
  • Provide corporate tax support; transfer pricing, and state revenue allocations
  • Coordinate, analyze and report the financial performance to the Leadership Team and the Modaxo Team (Group(s) > Portfolio > Global).
  • Become an expert in the company’s forecasting tool, Adaptive Planning, and knowledgeable in the company’s other key tools such as OpenAir (PSA), SalesForce (CRM) and Great Plains/NetSuite (ERP).
  • Work closely with all functional leads to ensure projects bids and contract terms, financial and otherwise, adhere to corporate parameters
