About The Position

The Director, Finance and Pricing leads a centralized team responsible for pricing strategy, revenue and entry fee analytics, resident financial underwriting, forecasting, and predictive modeling across key business divisions. This role partners with senior leadership to optimize revenue, cash flow, and long-term growth through data-driven decision making. As demographic trends drive unprecedented growth within the senior living industry, this leader will play a critical role in shaping how the organization prices its services, evaluates customer financial capacity, forecasts future demand, and optimizes long-term financial performance. This position combines advanced financial modeling, business analytics, and strategic leadership to help guide some of the organization's most important commercial and financial decisions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Analytics, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in finance, pricing, revenue management, FP&A, analytics, underwriting, strategic finance, or related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience building financial models and using data to influence business decisions.
  • Strong understanding of forecasting, financial analysis, and revenue optimization principles.
  • Experience leading high-performing teams and developing talent.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and influence decisions across functions.
  • Strong executive communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate complex analyses into actionable business recommendations.

Responsibilities

  • Lead enterprise pricing strategy and governance across multiple business divisions.
  • Develop recommendations that optimize revenue, occupancy performance, cash flow, and long-term financial outcomes.
  • Build and maintain sophisticated financial models used to support pricing decisions, forecasting, underwriting, and key business initiatives.
  • Analyze pricing effectiveness, market performance, demand trends, customer behavior, and other drivers impacting business performance.
  • Partner with senior leadership to evaluate tradeoffs, risks, and opportunities related to pricing, growth, and resident economics.
  • Provide analytical support and financial recommendations for strategic business decisions.
  • Own the end-to-end operating model for resident entry fee budgeting, forecasting, and performance analysis.
  • Establish enterprise forecasting standards and assumptions used to support planning and decision making.
  • Develop predictive models that improve visibility into future demand, resident population changes, revenue streams, and cash flow.
  • Continuously improve forecasting methodologies, model accuracy, and decision-support capabilities.
  • Establish enterprise standards for resident financial qualification and underwriting methodologies.
  • Oversee complex financial reviews that support resident qualification and contract decisions.
  • Serve as the final escalation point for complex scenarios involving pricing, contract economics, refund obligations, and financial risk assessments.
  • Ensure consistent application of policies, assumptions, governance standards, and documentation practices.
  • Continuously evaluate market trends, resident needs, and owner objectives to identify value-add opportunities and recommend innovations in pricing strategy, processes, and contract structures.
  • Provide timely, accurate, and decision-ready reporting across: Entry fee sales, cash activity, refunds, and exposure analysis; Pricing performance and revenue outcomes; Forecasts, actual performance, and key financial trends; Business drivers influencing future growth and cash flow.
  • Translate complex financial analyses into clear recommendations for executive leadership.
  • Communicate findings and insights to finance, operations, sales, legal, and executive stakeholders.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a growing team of finance and analytics professionals.
  • Recruit and build organizational capabilities as the function continues to expand across business divisions.
  • Establish scalable processes, tools, governance practices, and performance expectations.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and analytical excellence.
  • Lead initiatives that improve efficiency, accuracy, and scalability across pricing, underwriting, and forecasting processes.
  • Identify opportunities for automation, process standardization, and technology enablement.
  • Partner with Business Intelligence, IT, Accounting, and Operations teams to enhance analytical capabilities and reduce manual effort.
  • Drive improvements that increase forecast confidence, strengthen decision-making, and enhance organizational effectiveness.
