About The Position

The Director of Facility ensures all activities performed within the reporting departments are in accordance with the company's business objectives, budget guidelines, mission statement, and core service standards. This role provides leadership in the development and monitoring of fiscal budgets, department operations, and operating strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability for the company. It also provides leadership and direction in the development, execution, and measurement of guest service standards, managing all technical trade classifications. The Director develops and implements standard operating procedures for operational functions with a focus on efficiency and safety, conducts reviews of budgeting and staffing, and manages purchasing and inventory control systems. Ensures the physical plant meets all city/state/federal codes and safety standards, and provides management guidance and technical direction for maintenance, facilities, and landscaping issues.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of prior relevant experience in facilities, engineering, maintenance, or arena operations leadership roles.
  • Proven experience managing large-scale facility operations, maintenance programs, and physical plant improvements within a high-volume resort, entertainment, or arena environment.
  • Strong background overseeing design, construction, and renovation projects related to physical plant systems and infrastructure enhancements.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in senior-level facilities or maintenance operations within a complex arena, resort, or hospitality setting.
  • Skilled in driving operational efficiency, preventative maintenance strategies, safety compliance, and long-term asset reliability.
  • Experience leading cross-functional teams, contractors, and vendors while maintaining high service standards in guest-facing environments.
  • Strong technical, operational, and project management capabilities with the ability to balance daily operations and long-term capital initiatives.
  • Collaborative leader who builds strong partnerships across operations, engineering, events, and property leadership teams.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership in the development and monitoring of fiscal budgets, department operations, and operating strategies to produce both short-term and long-term profitability for the company.
  • Provides leadership and direction in the development, execution and measurement of guest service standards to include the management of all technical trade classifications (Engineers, Electricians, Carpenters, Painters, Laborers, Maintenance Warehouse, Gardeners, Drivers, Facilities Safety Systems Operators, etc.) consistent with the company's core service standards and brand attributes.
  • Develops and implements standard operating procedures for operational functions of the facility with a specific focus on the efficiency and safety of operations.
  • Conducts ongoing reviews of operation budgeting and staffing plans; recruiting, training, supervising, and evaluating arena personnel and service providers.
  • Manages purchasing and inventory control systems as it relates to consumable items, tools and equipment.
  • Ensures the physical plant meets all city/state/federal codes and safety standards.
  • Provides management guidance and technical direction in the resolution of problems associated with maintenance, facilities and landscaping issues.
