About The Position

The Director – Facilities Support Operations provides administrative decision-making, leadership, and strategic planning, ensuring efficient and productive use of staff, materials, and financial resources. The role directs and leads support services functions and teams based on regional structure, including areas such as Environmental Services (EVS), Food and Nutrition, Patient Transport, Communications, Facilities, Central Plant, and Clinical Engineering. The Director is responsible for services provided at assigned facilities within the respective region.

The position is part of Indiana University Health’s leadership team. The role reports to the Vice President – Chief Operating Officer, North (Lafayette).

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree required.
• At least 8 years of relevant experience required.
• At least 4 years of people leader experience required.
• Employee Relations experience, including managing leaders as well as teams, required.
• Experience facilitating physician/provider relationships required.
• Working knowledge of HIS (Hospital Information System) applications, including decision support analysis and SBAR/Budget creation, required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills recommended.

Nice To Haves

• Master’s degree preferred.
• Experience working in a Plant or Facility related field or hospital administrative role preferred.
• Experience working in a LEAN environment preferred.
