Iredell Health System has an opportunity for a Director of Facilities Management. The Director provides a key role for our organizations growing footprint within Iredell County. The Director of Engineering leads the daily operation, maintenance, reliability, safety, and regulatory readiness of the organization’s facilities, utilities, equipment, and building systems (i.e., HVAC, electrical, mechanical, plumbing, etc). This role is directly responsible for planning, staffing, budgeting, preventive maintenance, project coordination, vendor management, and compliance activities to ensure the physical environment supports safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operations (utility and life safety management). Reports to the President and Chief Executive Officer. Provides direction and support to maintenance, plant operations, and contracted service personnel as assigned. Responsible for the maintenance of the buildings, grounds, utility, and support systems of Iredell Health System. Work also includes managing the servicing of mechanical equipment systems; maintaining proper functioning and operation of control systems, alarms, and fire detection systems; ordering equipment and supplies; establishing departmental procedures; and assisting with the design of building systems and equipment and code compliance. May have access to medication storage areas (excluding controlled substances) as related to job responsibilities.
