About The Position

Wyndham Hotels & Resorts is seeking a Director, Extended Stay Franchise Operations to join their team. This role is responsible for nurturing relationships with owners, understanding their goals and needs, and optimizing their performance by delivering innovative solutions and relevant resources. The Director will leverage their experience to advise on extended-stay operational excellence to improve the bottom line for owners. The position requires up to 90% travel with a flexible work schedule, including conducting work while traveling.

Requirements

  • Current Wyndham corporate franchise operations experience supporting extended-stay hotels required.
  • 4-year college degree.
  • Multi-property experience.
  • Proficient in using Salesforce and Microsoft Suite (i.e. Office, Word, PowerPoint, Excel etc.).
  • Deep understanding of the midscale extended-stay segment, preferably with the Hawthorn brand, how it differs from the transient segment and how to use this knowledge to drive the business.
  • Proficient at analyzing and organizing data consistently to execute meaningful messages internally and externally.
  • Proficient influencing skills to achieve operational results and client engagement.
  • Fluent understanding of existing WHR tools & resources and able to leverage them for the benefit of the hotel/owner.
  • Builds on existing internal relationships and trust & provides feedback/solutions to leadership on hotel/owner needs & challenges.
  • Fluent in ability to manage conflict and difficult conversations.
  • Expert in independently prioritizing, organizing and managing time effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required to effectively present material to various audiences.

Nice To Haves

Responsibilities

  • Compel owner involvement to achieve performance goals and drive franchisee satisfaction by embracing an Owner First mindset that directly aligns with our Count on Me service culture values: Being Responsive, Being Respectful and Delivering a Great Experience.
  • Develop trusted relationships with external customers in order to educate, motivate and influence adoption of tools and resources to elevate performance.
  • Execute a Portfolio Management strategy that improves overall performance through consistent communication, contact and touchpoints with hotels and owners.
  • Respond to one off requests from the business that are property specific within in indicated SLA (Service Level Agreement).
  • Recommend improvement actions that will drive positive guest reviews.
  • Assist brand leader and director in managing FAC and various subcommittees.
  • Drive extended-stay occupancy (ESOC) to best-in-segment levels for each hotel by marshalling resources within WHR to achieve mutual goals.
  • Lead WHR efforts to expand overall revenue generation opportunities, drive growth and performance (RPI).
  • Execute Wyndham Hotels and Resorts initiatives, projects, and related tasks.
  • Analyze data to develop and execute strategies to expand revenue generation opportunities, drive growth and performance while improving quality performance and increasing customer satisfaction with each hotel.
  • Drive NRG through retention and development opportunities.
  • Influence and inspire engagement with our extended stay brands and WHR initiatives.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide accountability to the organization through documentation, follow up and system reporting.
  • Maintain consistently-high quality performance and increase customer satisfaction (Net Promoter, OSAT) for our extended-stay hotels.
  • Achieve annual service, performance and KPI goals in order to impact WHR profitability.
  • Take ownership of personal and professional development.
  • Project a positive image and promote the value of WHR.
