The Director of Experience Design leads the development, piloting, and evolution of end-to-end retail experience concepts across physical, digital, and human touchpoints. This role translates strategic inputs, customer insights, and business priorities into scalable, operationally viable experiences that enhance customer engagement and sales outcomes. The Director partners cross-functionally with Brand, Digital, Product, and AI teams to deliver cohesive omnichannel experiences. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Design, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • 10+ years managing design studios delivering complex projects across varying scales and budgets.
  • 5+ years leading and developing high-performing creative and technical teams.
  • Strong leadership and team development capabilities.
  • Expertise in technical design, fabrication, and spatial design.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Proven change management and innovation leadership.
  • Strong cross-functional collaboration and relationship management.
  • Customer-focused mindset with strong analytical capabilities.

Nice To Haves

  • Master’s degree in Business Administration, Retail Management, or Design preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development and continuous evolution of end-to-end experience concepts across physical, digital, and human touchpoints.
  • Design, pilot, test, and scale experience concepts using test-and-learn methodologies.
  • Enable seamless omnichannel customer journeys with intuitive wayfinding and integrated touchpoints.
  • Develop experience frameworks, playbooks, and toolkits for scalable implementation.
  • Integrate AI and emerging technologies into human-centered retail experiences.
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Retail Strategy, Brand, Digital, and Product teams.
  • Lead, mentor, and build high-performing experience design teams.
