About The Position
Venture Global LNG is a long-term, low-cost provider of American-produced liquefied natural gas, with two Louisiana-based export projects. The company utilizes a modular, mid-scale plant design for efficiency and operational reliability at lower capital cost. This Director, Environmental Engineering role is responsible for leading the air compliance assurance program to meet Federal (Environmental Protection Agency) and State (Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality) regulations for Venture Global Projects. The position involves developing and reviewing compliance plans, creating tools for regulatory reporting, managing contractors, and collaborating with various teams to ensure environmental compliance and minimize impact.
Responsibilities
- Lead air compliance assurance program to comply with Federal (Environmental Protection Agency) and State (Louisiana Department of Environmental Quality) regulations for Venture Global Projects
- Develop and review air compliance plans and procedures for Venture Global Projects
- Develop tools and standardize procedures for submitting regulatory compliance reports for Federal and State agencies
- Review and submit air compliance reports for Federal and State agencies
- Manage contractors and coordinate with Information Technology/Management team to develop software applications for air compliance
- Project development and implementation for continuous improvement of air compliance program
- Develop training program for facility personnel and provide training for air compliance
- Collaborate with Operations team and Contractors in planning and executing air compliance program
- Conduct environmental risk assessments and audits, ensuring that environmental impact is minimized during operations
- Collaborate with site personnel, environmental consultants/vendors, and other stakeholders to ensure compliance with relevant environmental laws and standards
- Evaluate regulatory compliance risk and provide solutions and guidance to Operations team
