About The Position

This position is for an Environmental Intern to join the Environmental team for the upcoming summer. The intern will work closely with and in support of project managers, professional engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, and skilled technicians/technologists. The role involves coordinating and implementing a wide variety of environmental engineering solutions and project goals, including air quality, solid waste, remediation, and health & safety. The company is committed to environmental sustainability and aims to ensure a sustainable future for communities and the world. The intern will be part of a global network of skilled professionals working towards this goal. The workplace operates on a hybrid model, requiring in-office collaboration three days a week.

Requirements

• Must currently be enrolled in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Environmental Engineering, Environmental Science, Geology/Hydrogeology or related field
• Ability to learn on the job and apply theory in a practical setting
• Strong sense of motivation and a thirst for knowledge
• Takes the initiative to identify ways to assist staff and be ready to help with any task big or small

Responsibilities

• Work closely with and in support of project managers, professional engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, and skilled technicians/technologists
• Coordinate and implement a wide variety of environmental engineering solutions and project goals (i.e. air quality, solid waste, remediation, health & safety, etc.)
• Work on report writing
• Work on data management
• Work on field equipment maintenance
• Receive training on soil and groundwater sampling, monitoring well installation and overall operations and maintenance for remediation systems
