About The Position

ECC is seeking candidates for an Intern for Environmental projects for the summer of 2026. The intern will work on-site at our Portsmouth, NH project site 80-90 percent of the time, with occasional work in the Hudson office or from home. The internship is expected to start summer of 2026, ECC is flexible on start and end date. This position will work between 20-40 hours per week depending on the needs of the project. This temporary intern position will gain experinece with groundwater sampling, monitoring well gauging, and assising wih environmenal remediation sysems operation and maintenace. This position uses some subject-matter knowledge and judgment to complete assignments consisting of numerous steps varying in nature and sequence. Interns should be prepared to travel to project sites to gain experience. Typical duties include assisting in a variety of administrative matters; verifying statistical reports for accuracy and completeness; and compiling information to include creating tables, graphs, etc.

Requirements

  • Communicates well by written and verbal means and may review work by others
  • Proven ability to work effectively with colleagues in multiple locations
  • Skilled in managing large volumes of detailed information accurately
  • Adept at responding to critical requests, limited turnaround times, and demanding deadlines
  • Intermediate knowledge of grammar, punctuation, and spelling
  • Competent in using Microsoft Office products, email systems, and internet
  • Travel: Must be able to work on-site at Portsmouth, NH and occasional in the office in Hudson, MA.
  • Education: High school diploma and must be currently enrolled as a second, third, or fourth year student in an accredited university working towards a Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science field or Environmental Engineering or closely related degree program.
