About The Position

The Director, Enterprise Transformation & Integration will play a central role in building the future of America’s Railroad. Despite significant changes in the scale, complexity and demands of today’s national passenger rail system, Amtrak’s corporate structure has remained largely unchanged since our creation in 1971. Amtrak Transformation will modernize the organization to meet the needs of our customers for the next 50 years. As part of the core Transformation team, the selected candidate will contribute strategic leadership and hands-on oversight for key transformation workstreams, ensuring that discrete initiatives are effectively planned, coordinated, and executed in support of overall objectives. They will partner with business leaders, functional stakeholders, and project teams to drive successful implementation, evaluate progress, resolve complex issues, and advance the initiatives that will deliver transformative results for Amtrak’s employees, customers, and partners. Working across the organization – from executives to frontline operating leadership – and with the access needed to develop a deep understanding of the Transformation’s strategy and objectives, the role is responsible for promoting accountability, managing risks and dependencies, and ensuring successful adoption of transformational changes.
