About The Position

Polytek® Development Corp., a leading manufacturer of mold making and casting materials, is seeking an experienced, organized professional to support the continued growth and transformation of Smooth-On following its acquisition of Polytek. The role works with senior leadership and partners across operations, manufacturing, finance, sales, supply chain, technology, and other functions to identify opportunities, develop solutions, and lead high-impact strategic initiatives. The position is responsible for leading the integration of Polytek into Smooth-On, evaluating and implementing a future enterprise resource planning (ERP) platform, optimizing business processes, developing manufacturing footprint strategy, and advancing other enterprise-wide transformation initiatives. It combines strategy and execution: the successful candidate will structure complex problems, coordinate stakeholders, develop recommendations, and drive initiatives through implementation. The role offers broad exposure to the company’s operations and strategic and operational decisions. The Director will establish and lead the Integration Management Office, oversee integration governance and change management, manage ERP selection and implementation, assess manufacturing operations across five facilities, and lead process improvements and strategic projects. The position is expected to help maintain customer service, employee engagement, and operational performance throughout transformation efforts. The role requires an in-office presence four days per week and business travel as needed to support integration activities, facility assessments, cross-functional initiatives, and projects across company locations. Employees must wear required personal protective equipment when entering manufacturing areas.

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience leading complex, cross-functional initiatives.
  • Strong project and program management capabilities.
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, including the ability to move from high-level strategy to detailed execution.
  • Strong financial and business acumen.
  • Ability to analyze data, develop business cases, and make fact-based recommendations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders across an organization without relying solely on formal authority.
  • Ability to work directly with senior executives and functional leaders.
  • Ability to operate effectively in ambiguous environments and create structure where it does not yet exist.
  • Highly organized and proactive, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
  • Willingness and ability to learn unfamiliar areas of the business quickly and work across functional boundaries.
  • Ability to travel for business as needed to support integration activities, facility assessments, cross-functional initiatives, and projects across company locations.
  • Ability to sit at a desk for prolonged periods and work on a computer.
  • Ability to work in an office environment and to talk, hear, and see, including close/near, distance, color, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and focus adjustment.
  • Must wear required personal protective equipment when entering manufacturing areas.
  • Expected to work in the office four days per week.
