About The Position

The Director of Enterprise Applications for Huber Engineered Materials (HEM) is responsible for the strategy, delivery, and operational excellence of the company’s enterprise applications landscape, supporting a $3 billion global manufacturing organization. This role oversees multiple ERP platforms, including Oracle (EBS & Fusion Cloud) along with multiple other enterprise systems. The Director will lead a geographically distributed team and partner closely with business leaders across Finance, Supply Chain, Manufacturing and Sales to ensure enterprise applications enable scalable growth, operational efficiency, and data-driven decision making.

Requirements

  • Required Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in enterprise applications leadership roles; Oracle Fusion Cloud experience highly desired.
  • Minimum of 5 years of leadership experience managing other Directors/Managers, in conjunction with 3rd-party service providers, in a global context.
  • Deep hands-on experience with multiple ERP platforms, including Oracle, Infor, SAP, etc.
  • Strong understanding of global manufacturing, supply chain, and financial processes.
  • Strong project management skills with experience managing large-scale ERP implementations, upgrades, or transformations.
  • Proven experience leading global, cross-functional and multi-cultural teams.
  • Success in leveraging traditional IT best practices such as ITIL, PMBOK or similar, as well as waterfall and agile concepts.
  • Demonstrated experience developing and managing strategic relationships.
  • Ability to balance business priorities with organizational capacity and budget constraints yet advocate for targeted investments where needed.
  • Proven ability to lead and mentor teams of analysts and developers in close partnership with Global Process Owners and departmental leadership, driving process standardization and ensuring the ERP platform effectively supports evolving business requirements.

  • Experience in a multi-ERP or post-merger environment.
  • Familiarity with cloud ERP, integrations, and modern enterprise architecture.
  • Experience leading or supporting ERP implementations within B2B process manufacturing and/or highly regulated industries, including alignment with quality management systems (QMS), regulatory compliance requirements, and end-to-end operational processes.
  • Familiarity with the interoperability and integration of eCommerce, Self-Service Portals and Customer Relationship Management platforms with enterprise ERP.

Responsibilities

  • Enterprise Applications Strategy & Leadership Define and execute the global enterprise applications strategy aligned with business objectives and IT roadmap.
  • Provide leadership and governance across a complex, multi-ERP environment, ensuring stability, scalability, and modernization.
  • Lead ERP rationalization efforts, upgrades, migrations, and integration strategies as the business evolves.
  • Develop a detailed plan and portfolio of projects with the business functions and regions.
  • Deliver solutions within agreed timeframes and budgets set forth in the plan.
  • ERP Platform Ownership Own the end-to-end lifecycle of Oracle ERP and multiple other enterprise platforms, including roadmap planning, enhancements, upgrades, and support.
  • Ensure ERP solutions effectively support global manufacturing operations, finance, supply chain, procurement, and order-to-cash processes, meeting the needs of and creating value for the business.
  • Partner with Global Process Owners (GPO’s) to ensure best practice business processes and standards are defined, implemented and maintained.
  • Oversee system integrations, data consistency, and master data governance across platforms.
  • Partner with Finance, Supply Chain and Sales functions to implement and support HEM’s data and analytics strategy, leveraging technology solutions including Oracle EPM and FDI.
  • Lifecycle management of Oracle Applications and satellite/supporting systems (including integrations with eInvoicing, RFSmart, Apro, Prometheus) through third party support agreements.
  • Experience managing outsourced IT Application Management Services (AMS) relationships.
  • Operational Excellence Ensure high availability, performance, security, and compliance of enterprise applications in collaboration with the IT Infrastructure & Operations team
  • Establish and monitor KPIs, SLAs, and service delivery metrics for internal teams and external vendors.
  • Drive continuous improvement in application support, incident management, and change management.
  • People & Vendor Management Lead, mentor, and develop a global team of application managers, analysts, developers and architects.
  • Manage relationships with system integrators, software vendors, and managed service providers.
  • Oversee application budgets, licensing, and vendor contracts to optimize cost, value and compliance.
  • Business Partnership Act as a trusted advisor to senior business leaders, translating business needs into scalable application solutions.
  • Partner with Finance, Supply Chain, Operations, and Manufacturing leadership on major initiatives such as plant expansions, M&A integrations, and digital transformation.
  • Support global process standardization while enabling regional flexibility where required.
