About The Position

The Director of Enterprise Applications is responsible for the strategic direction, governance, reliability, optimization, and continuous evolution of MasterCorp's enterprise application portfolio. Reporting to the Senior Vice President of Information Technology, this hands-on leader oversees the Applications team, partners closely with business and technology leaders, and serves as a key member of the IT leadership team. This role collaborates with senior IT leadership to develop and execute technology strategies, roadmaps, and initiatives that support business objectives and drive operational excellence. The Director establishes application standards, governance frameworks, and change management processes to ensure enterprise applications are secure, scalable, reliable, and aligned with organizational needs. Through strong cross-functional partnerships and effective team leadership, the Director ensures enterprise systems deliver measurable business value, support informed decision-making, and enable the organization's continued growth and success.

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field required; equivalent combinations of education and relevant experience may be considered.
Ten (10) or more years of progressive experience supporting, managing, and leading enterprise applications, including leadership experience within a mid-sized organization.
Demonstrated experience leading and developing IT teams while driving innovation, operational excellence, continuous improvement, and high-quality service delivery.
Five (5) or more years of hands-on experience supporting, administering, and optimizing Workday across multiple functional areas.
Three (3) or more years of hands-on experience with enterprise application development, configuration, and integration tools, including Workday Studio, Workday Extend, Salesforce, or comparable platforms.
Experience leading the evaluation, governance, implementation, and adoption of AI and intelligent automation technologies within an enterprise environment.
Proven success leading organizational change management efforts related to enterprise technology implementations, enhancements, and digital transformation initiatives.
Experience developing and managing operating and project budgets, forecasts, business cases, vendor contracts, and technology investments.
Strong business acumen with experience supporting Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) solutions and a working knowledge of accounting principles, financial processes, and operational business functions.
Demonstrated ability to build and maintain effective relationships with business stakeholders, technology partners, vendors, and executive leadership.
Strong technical expertise with the ability to balance strategic leadership, solution design, operational support, and complex problem-solving.
Working knowledge of enterprise application architecture, integrations, APIs, data management, identity and access management, security, testing, release management, and application support practices.
Ability to build trusted partnerships and collaborate effectively with stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
Excellent written, verbal, facilitation, negotiation, and executive communication skills.
Strong analytical, prioritization, financial, and decision-making skills.

Nice To Haves

Three (3) or more years of hands-on administration experience with enterprise platforms such as Salesforce, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Copilot, and Ironclad preferred.
Experience leading Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and Human Capital Management (HCM) system implementations strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

Develop and execute the enterprise application strategy, technology roadmaps, investment priorities, and multi-year capability plans aligned with MasterCorp's business objectives and technology vision.
Serve as a key member of the IT leadership team, contributing to enterprise technology strategy, resource planning, risk management, organizational priorities, and technology decision-making.
Lead, coach, and develop the Enterprise Applications team by establishing clear priorities, accountability, performance expectations, and a culture of innovation, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
Partner with business leaders and stakeholders across the organization to understand operational needs, translate business requirements into scalable technology solutions, and drive user adoption and business value.
Define and maintain application governance, architecture standards, development and configuration practices, documentation requirements, release management processes, and change control procedures.
Provide strategic and operational oversight of MasterCorp's enterprise application portfolio, ensuring systems are secure, reliable, scalable, supportable, and aligned with organizational goals.
Oversee the full enterprise application lifecycle, including platform performance, enhancements, integrations, upgrades, vendor relationships, technical debt management, and long-term application planning.
Provide leadership for Workday and other core enterprise platforms, including business processes, security, integrations, reporting, data quality, compliance, and continuous optimization.
Lead the governance, evaluation, approval, and responsible use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies to ensure security, compliance, adoption, and business value.
Serve as a hands-on technical leader by evaluating solution designs, resolving complex application issues, supporting integrations, and contributing to platform configuration and low-code development activities when necessary.
Lead enterprise application projects and initiatives, including implementations, major releases, system enhancements, integrations, and digital transformation efforts from planning through stabilization.
Drive organizational and technology change management initiatives by supporting stakeholder engagement, communication planning, training coordination, adoption strategies, readiness activities, and outcome measurement.
Develop and manage operating and project budgets, including forecasting, business case development, contract evaluations, and value realization for technology investments.
Establish and monitor service levels, operational metrics, risk controls, audit requirements, and continuous improvement initiatives to ensure application performance, compliance, and operational excellence.
Build and maintain strong relationships with software vendors, implementation partners, consultants, and managed service providers, ensuring quality service delivery, cost effectiveness, and accountability.
