About The Position

As the Director, Employee Experiences, you are accountable for building, leading, and executing an end-to-end employee experience strategy that ignites our culture and engages our people. You’ll manage a portfolio of employee events and experiential programs ensuring every moment reflects our culture, values, and commitment to being an inclusive and transformative place to work for all. Your passion and creativity for inclusively engaging, inspiring, planning, and activating will show up across all of our employee experiences. This role is based out of our North Vancouver office and is open to hybrid remote work. Candidates must be eligible to work in Canada. Meet Your Future Team: The Global People & Culture Enablement and Experience team leads business management, project management, employee experiences, and internal events. Through thoughtful experiences, impactful meetings, meaningful interactions, and activations in our spaces, we operate the People & Culture department and create the conditions for teams and the business to thrive. This team is the conduit between People & Culture experiences, programs and projects, and our cross-functional partners - enabling growth, scaling our capabilities, and activating our culture to achieve our business goals. We create and implement standard operating principles to ensure a consistent experience for our global and regional employees. We work in close partnership with our cross-functional partners within People & Culture and across the organization.

Requirements

  • 10+ years of event management experience, along with a post-secondary diploma or certification in Event Management, Communications, Project Management, Marketing or equivalent experience in lieu
  • Incredibly organized with an eye for detail and accuracy
  • Empathetic and proactive communicator, and care about engaging people in a inclusive manner
  • Exceptional presentation, storytelling, marketing and communication skills
  • Strong portfolio of designing and delivering culture and engagement programs at scale
  • Deep understanding of employee engagement principles, behavioral insights, and experience design
  • Creative, brand-forward mindset with a passion for crafting memorable moments
  • Activate teams around you through energizing and inspiring experiential excellence
  • Open and approachable with a collaborative, team-centric mentality
  • Consistently evaluate and evolve existing processes, and inspire breakthrough thinking and continuous improvement within your team

Responsibilities

  • Leading the strategic planning, vision and multi-year roadmap for Arc’teryx employee experiences, programs and events across the business
  • Delivering a portfolio of annual large-scale events, experiences and programs including Leadership Summit, Arc’Social, Winter Celebration, Arc’Adventure, Purpose & Values Awards
  • Designing a large-scale creative vision, connecting brand values and concepts to elevate our employee experiences
  • Championing the company’s purpose and values, and the Arc’teryx Leadership Code by embedding them into programs, initiatives and experiences
  • Elevating storytelling through cross-functional partnership with Communications, Brand, Employer Brand and Impact teams to highlight employee stories and foster connection
  • Leading the planning and delivery of employee events to fuel our culture of celebration, recognition and connection
  • Leveraging our communication platforms as social tools to connect our global employee community
  • Leading and coaching your team with an inclusive lens, and a passion for strengths-based people development
  • Consulting with Business function leaders to design and deliver solutions that support the Employee Experiences and events roadmap
  • Partnering with 3rd party vendors to design and deliver solutions that support the Employee Experiences and events roadmap
  • Partnering with regional teams to provide guidance and playbooks in support of regional employee experiences
  • Collaborating with Brand and Community Marketing teams to create a cohesive, branded feel for all Arc’teryx events
  • Staying connected to industry trends, inspiration and insights for employee engagement and experiences
  • Managing long-term planning, contracts, calendaring and partnerships
  • Developing and pitching new concepts for future employee experiences and programs
  • Identifying opportunities and evolving other employee experience events and recognition programs, as needed
  • Exploring how technology can create efficiencies in our experiential workstreams
  • Partnering in the design of regional experiences
