About The Position

The Director, Emergency Department will lead a critical area of the organization, shaping care delivery during high-impact moments for children and youth. This role involves reimagining flow, access, and experience in a fast-paced, high-acuity setting, working collaboratively with families, physicians, and front-line teams to improve outcomes and foster a supportive culture. The ideal candidate is a visible, trusted leader with a people-centered approach, capable of balancing strategy with execution, and driving sustained change, ideally with experience in Lean thinking and continuous improvement.
Requirements
- Minimum of eight years of progressive healthcare experience
- At least five years in a leadership role
- Strong understanding of high-acuity hospital environments
- Degree in a relevant discipline (nursing preferred)
- Expertise in quality improvement, patient safety, and risk management
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to lead in complex, evolving environments
Nice To Haves

- Bilingualism (French/English)
- Experience in Lean thinking and continuous improvement
