About The Position

AssuranceAmerica is seeking a Director, Direct-to-Consumer Sales to lead the contact center strategy with a primary focus on driving sales (e.g., auto, renters, commercial) to individual consumers. This role involves building and scaling a sales-driven culture focused on delivering personalized, consultative, and compliant insurance solutions. The Director will establish sales targets, incentives, and performance dashboards to drive conversion rates, quote-to-bind ratios, and revenue growth. A significant aspect of this role includes interacting in-person with Call Center associates in McAllen, TX, requiring travel to McAllen, TX, 50% of the time. The position also encompasses driving performance across inbound sales, outbound campaigns, digital channels, and licensed agent teams, while aligning operations to evolving regulatory requirements, licensing standards, and compliance expectations within the insurance industry. Furthermore, the Director will champion the use of data, analytics, AI, and automation to improve contact center performance, customer insights, and sales outcomes, and will evaluate and implement omni-channel platforms, CRM systems, and quote/bind tools to enhance sales and service capabilities. Continuous improvement and technology adoption to support self-service, personalization, and first-call resolution are key. The role also involves recruiting, developing, and leading diverse and empowered teams, cultivating a high-engagement culture, and fostering leadership pipelines.

Requirements

  • 8+ years of leadership experience in contact center operations, with a strong emphasis on Direct-to-Consumer insurance sales or related financial services.
  • Deep understanding of the P&C insurance landscape, including licensing, compliance, underwriting, and regulatory considerations.
  • Proven success in scaling outbound and inbound sales operations, optimizing conversion funnels, and driving profitable growth.
  • Experience leading multi-site and/or remote teams in a regulated industry.
  • Skilled in deploying and optimizing CRM platforms, digital sales tools, customer engagement systems, and contact center technologies.
  • Demonstrated success in building cross-functional partnerships to improve sales execution and customer lifecycle management.
  • Strong financial acumen, including forecasting, budgeting, and P&L oversight.
  • P&C license in resident state or ability to get licensed within 90 days.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or relevant insurance designation and/or certification.
