About The Position

A school district in the Battle Creek, MI area is seeking an engaging and service-focused dining services leader to oversee a comprehensive student nutrition program. This highly visible role is responsible for the overall success of dining operations, including team leadership, financial performance, food quality, regulatory compliance, customer satisfaction, and day-to-day program management. The position works closely with district leadership to deliver exceptional service while supporting the nutritional needs of students. Requirements

Strong leadership and communication skills
Financial acumen with strong business intuition

Nice To Haves

Associate’s degree in Management, Hospitality, Culinary, or Nutrition preferred; additional food service management experience
Three or more years of food service management experience
K-12 dining experience preferred

Responsibilities

Oversees all P&L and budgeting as it pertains to the account
Maintains excellent relationships with the client
Works with the team to create nutritious, high-quality food for students
Implements new culinary programs in conjunction with the marketing and culinary teams
Acts as a liaison between Chartwells, the client, and the community
Performs other duties as assigned to support the efficient functioning of the dining services operation
