About The Position

Baker Tilly is seeking an entrepreneurial Director to join its fast-growing Digital Transformation Practice. This practice combines deep functional, industry, and technical expertise to help clients solve complex enterprise digital challenges. The role focuses on integrating advanced technologies with core business transformational services to guide companies through digital transformations. The Director will collaborate with firm leadership and associates, serving clients and contributing to business growth, with a direct impact on the firm's success. This position also involves mentoring and coaching staff, developing their technical and professional skills. Baker Tilly offers a dynamic environment with opportunities to work with leading entrepreneurial figures in the field.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or business field required.
  • Ten years’ experience providing senior leadership within complex technology or digital/product organizations.
  • Extensive experience in business development within a professional services firm desired.
  • Five (5) + years of supervisory experience, mentoring and counseling associates desired.
  • Ability to decompose scope into detailed activities and deliverables, then conduct work package handoff to delivery resources from Baker Tilly, client teams, and third-party vendors.
  • Project experience with full lifecycle application development (e.g. requirements gathering, use case development, system analysis and design, integration, testing, deployment).
  • Demonstrated management, analytical, organization, interpersonal, project management, communication skills.
  • Ability to lead and supervise others, provide exceptional client service, demonstrate commitment to continuous learning, see the "big picture" as well as the details, display appropriate ethical knowledge and commitment, and exhibit a sense of urgency and commitment to quality and the timely completion of projects.
  • Must be able to work outside of core business hours for client engagements.
  • Must be able to travel as needed nationally to serve clients.

Nice To Haves

  • Master's or advanced degree desirable.
  • Experience with Agile software delivery management tools and techniques preferred (Scrum, JIRA, confluence).

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of Baker Tilly and client resources through the definition and delivery of transformation projects, including business process and/or technology implementations.
  • Develop, manage, and measure the effectiveness of project approaches and plans aligned with critical implementation phases (analyze, design, build, test, deploy) and long-term roadmaps for large-scale solutions.
  • Utilize entrepreneurial skills to network and build strong internal and external relationships to acquire new clients, projects, and revenue.
  • Invest in professional development through individual learning and participation in firm-wide programs.
  • Support the growth and development of team members, helping associates achieve their professional goals.
  • Develop and communicate a robust IT strategy aligned with a company’s overall business objectives, staying abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies.
  • Lead digital transformation efforts by identifying opportunities to enhance client services, streamline operations, and improve efficiency.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate technology seamlessly into business processes.
  • Provide visionary leadership to technology teams, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
  • Oversee the development, implementation, and maintenance of technology solutions.
  • Work closely with clients to understand their needs, challenges, and goals, proposing innovative technology solutions that deliver value.
  • Collaborate with C-suite executives, including CIO, CDO, and CXO.
  • Foster partnerships with external technology vendors, startups, and industry experts.
