Director, Demand Generation

Deepgram•,
•$200,000 - $260,000

About The Position

Deepgram is hiring a Director, Demand Generation to build and lead its integrated campaign, demand generation, and ABX function. The role reports to the VP, Demand & Growth and works closely with peers in Growth Marketing, Events & Field Marketing, Digital Marketing, and Marketing Operations. Starting with a senior integrated campaign manager, this hands-on leadership role will develop the team and establish repeatable systems and playbooks for generating enterprise pipeline. The director owns the sales-led pipeline plan, sets quarterly marketing-sourced and influenced targets with Sales leadership, and manages progress through weekly pacing reviews. They coordinate integrated campaigns across teams, build always-on ABX programs for priority segments and accounts, align campaign and paid-media priorities to shared pipeline and cost-per-SQL goals, and improve the handoff and reporting process with Sales, SDR leadership, and Marketing Operations. The role also develops re-engagement and partner co-marketing programs, including programs with AWS, Twilio, NVIDIA, and other partners. Deepgram expects an AI-first approach: employees actively use and experiment with advanced AI tools, integrate them into everyday workflows, and adapt as the company and its work evolve. The company values experimentation, continuous learning, and operating at a pace suited to rapid change.

Requirements

  • Has owned an enterprise pipeline number alongside Sales and can trace specific programs from first touch to closed-won, including misses.
  • Has built ABM/ABX programs for enterprise buying committees, from technical evaluators to executive buyers, with measurable pipeline and revenue.
  • Can diagnose the full funnel using data, identify conversion breakdowns between MQL, SAL, SQL, and close, and address the highest-leverage issue first.
  • Understands CRM campaign structures, marketing automation, and attribution well enough to identify when pipeline is not being counted.
  • Can turn a positioning document into a consistent campaign story across ads, email, landing pages, and SDR openers, and write the story without relying on an agency.
  • Can lead as a player-coach, hiring and developing marketers while continuing to write briefs and pull reports.
  • Operates AI-natively, building human-plus-AI workflows for campaign planning, copy, list building, analysis, and reporting, while understanding where human judgment is needed.
  • Builds repeatable systems such as campaign models, scorecards, and playbooks rather than relying on one-off programs.
  • Can earn trust with Sales and SDR leaders and share accountability for goals with peers they do not manage.
  • Is comfortable adopting new AI models and tools, integrating them into workflows, experimenting, adapting, and learning continuously.

Nice To Haves

  • Typically 10+ years of experience in B2B demand generation or integrated campaigns, including several years managing marketers, at a fast-growing technical company in cloud, data infrastructure, developer tools, security, or AI, or equivalent demonstrated experience.
  • Experience at an API-first or usage-based business, or marketing to regulated industries such as healthcare and financial services.
  • Experience running hyperscaler or ISV co-marketing, such as AWS Marketplace or MDF programs, that produced tracked pipeline.
  • Hands-on experience with tools such as Salesforce, HubSpot, Outreach, Dreamdata, 6sense, or Demandbase; a BI tool such as Superset; and LinkedIn and Google Ads.
  • Experience running integrated campaigns with an agency partner while retaining in-house strategy ownership.

Responsibilities

  • Own the sales-led pipeline plan and set quarterly marketing-sourced and marketing-influenced targets with Sales leadership.
  • Build the program mix to meet pipeline targets and lead weekly pipeline pacing reviews with Sales, ending in decisions.
  • Run campaigns using an integrated model with a single brief, calendar, scorecard, and named owner before launch.
  • Partner with Product Marketing to turn each Tier-1 product launch into a live pipeline campaign.
  • Build always-on ABX programs for priority segments and named accounts, using launches, customer proof, and competitive plays to engage buyers.
  • Set audiences, account lists, and campaign priorities with Digital Marketing, and align both teams to shared pipeline and cost-per-SQL targets.
  • Work with SDR leadership and Marketing Operations to improve funnel-stage criteria, routing, speed-to-lead SLAs, and campaign-influence visibility on opportunities.
  • Develop re-engagement programs for stalled leads, closed-lost opportunities, and event attendees with Marketing Operations.
  • Build co-sell campaigns and MDF-funded partner programs with Partner Marketing, including closed-loop pipeline reporting.
  • Hire, coach, and develop the campaign team.
  • Own the campaign calendar used by Demand Generation, Product Marketing, Brand, Content, Events, and Sales.
  • Build repeatable campaign models, scorecards, and playbooks.
  • Use AI tools and develop human-plus-AI workflows for campaign planning, copy, list building, analysis, and reporting, while applying human judgment where appropriate.
