Within the Customer & Strategy organization led by the Chief Customer & Strategy Officer (CCSO), the Director, Customer & Strategy Project Management will report to the Vice President, Marketing. This position is the operational backbone of the Customer & Strategy governance, providing project management leadership and expertise to the Integrated Customer Strategy Committee (ICSC), the Brand Core Team and Extended Team and other relevant teams.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree required
  • Experience in managing complex, cross-functional R&D and commercial programs in the pharmaceutical/biotech industry
  • Has facilitated senior cross-functional governance forums with C-suite and SVP/VP-level participants
  • Proven track record in working across key disciplines and multiple internal and external stakeholders
  • Genuine problem-solving mindset, anticipate problems and proactively mitigate these
  • Champion personal accountability; set and manage expectations with stakeholders in a matrix organization
  • Strong sense of urgency and patient centricity
  • Think strategically and challenge the status quo and promote innovative tactics

Nice To Haves

  • Advanced degree (MS, MBA, PharmD, PhD) or related degree with substantial experience in project/program management and leadership preferred
  • A recognized project/program management certification is a plus
  • Project management of at least one full commercial product launch, ideally in a rare/specialty disease setting is a plus
  • Experience working in an innovative technology context such as gene therapy, cell therapy, etc. is a plus
  • Familiar with major project planning tools, ideally including Smartsheet

Responsibilities

  • Acts as operational backbone to the ICSC and Project Manager to the Brand Core and Extended Teams, owning agendas, pre-reads, minutes, decision logs, and action tracking, and is empowered to chase actions and enforce accountability across senior cross-functional leaders.
  • Develops strong partnerships with the ICSC Chair, strategic pillar leads (Medical Affairs, Market Access, Commercial, Business Operations), and Brand Team members to translate commercial strategy into integrated, executable launch plans.
  • Drives execution of cross-functionally integrated commercial plans in line with corporate, portfolio, and brand strategy, goals, and objectives, and ensures alignment between ICSC, Brand Core, and Brand Extended Teams without rework or duplication.
  • Facilitates goal and objective setting, tracking, and progress reporting to the CCSO, ICSC, PRC, and Senior Management, including the Quarterly Business Review.
  • Responsible for commercial program risk management, timely identification and assessment of key risks, and development of effective mitigation strategies, with clean escalation to the Chair and the VP, Marketing.
  • Navigates program governance per the uniQure Governance Model to enable timely strategic and operational decision-making across ICSC, Development Committee (DevCo), the Strategic Alignment Council, the Global Product Strategy Team, and the Brand Teams.
  • Partners with Marketing to project manage the end-to-end CMLR review and approval cycle in Veeva PromoMats, ensuring materials are routed per the relevant SOPs with on-time approvals, and serves as the primary operational point of contact with uniQure's external marketing agency on submission workflows, version control, and timelines.
