About The Position

As the Director Customer Insights & Integration, Marketing & Creative Effectiveness you will lead and elevate the impact of insights as a strategic driver of decision-making within the Marketing Organization. This includes guiding how insights are identified, prioritized, integrated, and activated on to inform and optimize messaging strategy. In this role you will lead Brand campaign measurement and creative research, ensuring messaging drives intended brand and business outcomes. You’ll work across the campaign lifecycle - informing the strategic brief, influencing creative development, assessing in-market performance, and translating learnings into clear strategic guidance that improves future messaging effectiveness. This work will be led in close partnership with, and for, internal Brand Planning, Media Strategy, Creative, and Analytics teams. You will also shape and advance the capability by bringing forth best in class/emerging research techniques and ensuring measurement connects tools and insights across sources into cohesive, strategic narratives that unlock business impact (e.g. macro trends, brand perceptions, campaign, creative and media performance, customer analytics, MMM). This role is hybrid, which means you will work some days on site at the Best Buy location listed on this posting and some days virtually from home or another non‑Best Buy location. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team, and the recruiter or hiring manager will provide additional details during the hiring process.

Requirements

  • 8+ years in insights, strategy, or related leadership roles supporting Marketing organizations
  • 5+ years experience in Campaign and Creative research techniques

Responsibilities

  • Define the annual campaign and creative research learning agenda, linking to current marketing strategy, objectives, and KPIs
  • Shape and guide qualitative and quantitative research in partnership with external suppliers (ex: audience research, early learnings, message testing, ad diagnostics, cultural/seasonal research and brand lift studies)
  • Partner with Marketing Teams during brief development phase to integrate insights and guide messaging strategy
  • Analyze performance across channels (TV, digital, social, CTV, etc.), translating results into recommendations to improve creative quality, media synergies, and ROI over time
  • Establish frameworks, standards, and norms for creative testing, campaign measurement, and optimization to benchmark performance against
  • Measure perceptions of our Brand and Competitors, including regular executive-level reporting and brand equity deep dives
  • Monitor and regularly share cultural insights, industry news and competitive creative tactics to provide necessary context
  • Enhance internal planning processes/timelines to further integrate insights and research upstream in campaign development
  • Stay current on emerging methods in creative testing, cultural insight, AI enabled creative analytics, and attention measurement – bringing the best research approaches forward
  • Drive cross-functional alignment through clear, compelling storytelling that integrates insights across multiple sources and facilitation of strategic discussions.
  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of brand, campaign and creative insights strategists fostering a culture of strategic thinking, innovation, and continuous growth
