About The Position

The Director, Corporate Strategy supports key priorities of the enterprise strategy agenda including topics related to strategy development, cross-functional enterprise initiatives and enterprise critical routines. This role involves partnering and collaborating with various senior leaders within the department and across functions/OUs/Platform Services based on the priorities of the enterprise and the department. For identified priorities, the Director will be a critical project team member to deliver expectations, drive their own work-stream effectively with limited guidance, and demonstrate initiative and self-driven capabilities. The role requires conducting analysis to provide initial recommendations for workstreams that solve specific issues pragmatically. The Director will also demonstrate an increasing understanding of the function's priorities and take the initiative to surface opportunities to achieve them. This position involves driving relevant analysis and insights, offering initial implications of analysis, and sharing results in a digestible manner to the Operating Committee. For specific workstreams, the Director will lead a network of peers and/or consultants to drive towards end-products and clear deliverables. The scope of this role is global.

Requirements

  • 7-9 years of business experience, with experience in strategy, finance, or other generalist fields
  • Graduate Degree in business, strategy or a related field
  • Ability to work in a diverse cultural environment, highly efficient communicator and influencer at all levels, depending on priorities of the Strategy department, exemplifying network ways of working
  • Ability to partner with leaders of the Corporate Strategy team as well as the network of OUs/Functions/Platform Services.
  • Strong problem solving - ability to be hypothesis-driven, drive from analysis to insights and implications, be comfortable taking in data and input from a variety of different sources, and to be structured and logical in thinking
  • Strong team player willing to help others out in team during projects
  • Analytical with attention to detail but at the same time able to be 80:20, prioritize appropriately and to be comfortable with a certain amount of ambiguity
  • Ability to rotate across priorities and multi-task, leverage relationships with key business partners, comfortable in working closely with OUs/Functions/Platform Services, with stakeholder management capabilities
  • Outstanding communication skills (both written and verbal) - ability to synthesize, some ability to pull disparate analyses together into a single narrative; some ability to develop visually compelling charts and create portions of crisply written white papers that focus on key messages.
  • Proficiency in both Microsoft Excel (for analysis) and PowerPoint (for visual communication)

Responsibilities

  • Partner and collaborate inside the department with various Sr. leaders, including the Senior Vice President and Head of Strategy & Corporate Development, Vice President, Enterprise Wide Initiatives & Strategic Transformation, Vice President, Strategic Initiatives, and Vice President, Enterprise Learning, as well as outside the department with Functions/OUs/Platform Services based on the priorities of the enterprise and the department.
  • Be a critical project team member to deliver expectations for identified priorities.
  • Drive own work-stream effectively with limited guidance, demonstrating initiative and the ability to be self-driven; proactively raise issues and challenges that occur along the way.
  • Conduct analysis to provide initial recommendations for workstream that solve specific issues identified and that are sufficiently pragmatic.
  • Demonstrate increasing understanding of the priorities of the function and take the initiative to surface opportunities to achieve them.
  • Drive relevant analysis and insights (be able to offer initial implications of analysis), both individually and with the help of PS/OUs/Functions to support rotating priorities and share results in a digestible manner to Operating Committee.
  • Lead a network of peers and/or consultants to drive towards end-products and clear deliverables for specific workstreams.
