Director, Corporate Marketing

Incident IQAtlanta, GA
Onsite

About The Position

Incident IQ is looking for a Director of Corporate Marketing to build and lead the corporate marketing function from the ground up. This is a newly created role reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer and sits at the intersection of brand, communications and culture. The right person is a sharp storyteller, a skilled cross-functional partner and someone who understands that how a company communicates internally is just as important as how it shows up externally. This role will work closely with the CMO and will have the support of the broader marketing team and key partners across the business to bring programs to life.

Requirements

  • 8 to 12 years of experience in corporate communications, corporate marketing or a related function, ideally in B2B SaaS or a mission-driven organization, with a proven track record of building or leading a corporate marketing or communications function.
  • You are a strategic communicator who knows how to shape a company narrative, build executive presence and show up as a trusted partner to senior leadership. You are equally comfortable crafting a press release, preparing a CEO for a keynote and developing an internal communications strategy from scratch.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills are a must, as is the ability to build strong cross-functional relationships and influence without authority across a fast-moving organization.
  • Experience partnering closely with a CEO or executive leadership team on communications and positioning is strongly preferred.
  • You know how to lead through ambiguity, set priorities across competing demands and build programs that scale. You thrive with autonomy, work well without a lot of structure and know how to tap the right people across the business to get things done.

Nice To Haves

  • A genuine interest in K-12 education or education technology is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute a proactive PR strategy including media relations, press releases and earned coverage.
  • Build and maintain relationships with journalists, K-12 and technology influencers, thought partners and ecosystem partners.
  • Own the corporate PR calendar and ensure communications are timely, consistent and on-brand.
  • Lead award and speaking submission strategy to build executive and company visibility.
  • Partner with HR and the Chief of Staff to support key organizational announcements, leadership changes and company milestones.
  • Support All Hands and bi-annual all company gatherings in meeting planning, content and execution.
  • Ensure employees are informed, aligned and connected to the company narrative.
  • Own the corporate social media presence across LinkedIn and other relevant channels.
  • Develop a content strategy that reflects iiQ’s brand voice, customer mission and thought leadership.
  • Support culture and brand building efforts including recruiting initiatives and employer brand.
  • Partner with demand gen and product marketing to amplify campaigns and launches.
  • Support the development of corporate presentations and executive communications.
  • Develop and manage a corporate spokesperson program, including executive media training and preparation, to ensure consistent and compelling representation of iiQ in the market.
  • Partner across the business to ensure iiQ shows up with a consistent, compelling voice at industry events and internal forums.
  • Build and manage a network of thought partners and ecosystem relationships that elevate iiQ’s brand in the market.
