About The Position

Corporate Affairs oversees, integrates and manages the functions currently comprising Corporate Communications, Responsible Investing and Corporate Philanthropy. Corporate Affairs advances the Firm’s goals by crafting compelling commercial narratives, aligning, external-facing personnel and functions with messaging priorities and enhancing and protecting the Firm’s reputation​. Corporate Affairs achieves its goals through the development of integrated communications plans that support business objectives. The team collaborates closely with Firm leadership, Sponsor Finance, the Investor Partners Group, Structured Products Teams and Functional groups to develop messaging and positioning that resonates with key stakeholder groups including private equity sponsors, investors, lenders and employees.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree required
  • 12+ years of experience in a similar communications or PR role within financial services (Credit and private markets experience is preferred)
  • Exceptional writing skills with demonstrated ability to develop clear and compelling messaging with precise attention to detail
  • Experience interfacing with reporters and media outlets
  • Goal and action oriented
  • Track record managing complex, multi-stakeholder reputational issues including at a portfolio company level
  • Project management skills with demonstrable ability to manage integrated communication campaigns to completion
  • Experience with digital communications and social media engagement
  • Ability to build productive working relationships with colleagues at all levels
  • Curious, collaborative, process-driven and analytical
  • Proven ability to oversee multiple projects with quick turnaround times
  • Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively leverage AI tools in day-to-day work, with strong critical thinking to assess accuracy, limitations and appropriate use of AI generated outputs
  • Enthusiastic about working in office and creating a Gold Standard hybrid work culture

Responsibilities

  • Leading the development of compelling, differentiated messaging to support key Firm milestones and events across stakeholders which advance business goals
  • Developing and executing integrated external and internal communications strategies and plans in alignment with Firm and business objectives working with internal stakeholders and the Firm’s retained communications agency
  • Serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and spokespeople on messaging, positioning and reputation management
  • Managing the Firm’s bench of approved spokespeople and ensuring training and communication of messaging guidelines in preparation for external speaking opportunities
  • Managing the Firm’s media relations efforts and engagement including fostering strong relationships with reporters
  • Developing and managing content across key internal communications channels including firmwide announcements and town halls
  • Establishing scalable communications processes and governance to ensure consistent, high-quality execution across communications campaigns and initiatives
  • Ensuring flawless execution of communication campaigns in a process-orientated, repeatable and efficient manner by building, maintaining and improving key processes
  • Fostering a positive and creative work environment and ensuring seamless collaboration across teams and within the Communications Team
  • Developing effective, best-practice reporting measures to demonstrate the efficacy in supporting business goals
