Peraton is currently seeking a Contract Administration Director with recent and direct DoD/DoW customer experience to join our contracts team. This position will require an experienced contracts management professional with responsibility for overseeing a portfolio of complex DoD/DoW contracts matters as a member of a business unit leadership team to provide strategic advice and counsel on all capture, growth, contractual, and procurement-related items. The role involves leading a team of contracts professionals while achieving Sector performance goals, interfacing with Executive Leadership on solutions to contractual issues, and developing and leading implementation of customer engagement strategies in support of developing on contract growth opportunities. The Director will manage and provide leadership for contracts function responsibilities including proposal preparation (opportunity shaping, RFP reviews, advising on technical risk mitigations, developing OCI mitigation plans, reviewing costs volumes, providing oversight of model contract and intellectual property considerations), assessment of terms and conditions to ensure the corporation is protected from unusual risk and sustains or improves Peraton’s long range plans. Additionally, the role involves developing and maintaining customer relationships to ensure positive and constructive interactions, leading staff development, including mentoring and training junior staff, and providing guidance to management on contractual and business issues, including risk/benefit analysis. The Director will also support or lead strategic and business optimization initiatives, negotiate federal government contracts, including teaming and non-disclosure agreements, and ensure team achievement of optimal operational performance by adhering to contract policies, procedures, methods, and operating practices. The role requires working in partnership with business leaders to drive performance standards for programs to culminate in excellent CPARs and achievement of company annual operating plan. The Director will review and resolve issues affecting company compliance and ensure the satisfaction of legal requirements, company, and customer objectives by working closely with the Sector President, Sector VP of Contracts, Chief Contracts Officer, Chief Legal Officer, and other senior executives. The Director will advise management of contractual rights and obligations, identify risk areas and mitigation strategies, and provide interpretation of terms and conditions, as well as provide strategic guidance to capture teams on highly complex bids.
