Intern - Contracts Administration

About The Position

The summer intern will support activities related to the review and interpretation of contracts, with a focus on developing Contract Briefs beginning with our prime contracts. The role will also include reviewing legacy hard-copy files against corresponding electronic records to ensure digital files are complete and accurate. Where electronic versions of key documents are missing, the intern will assist in scanning and digitizing materials in support of the Administrative Assistant – Contracts.

Requirements

  • Completion of at least one semester (or one year) of coursework in contracts or a related field (e.g., business law, commercial contracts, principles of federal acquisition).
  • High school diploma; current students or recent graduates are preferred.
  • Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail is essential in ensuring contract accuracy.
  • Critical Thinking: Ability to think analytically and solve problems effectively.
  • Tech-Savvy: Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs.
  • Enthusiasm and Proactivity: A genuine interest in learning and a proactive approach to tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provide administrative support to the contracts department.
  • Analyze contract terms and conditions and prepare concise briefs to assist Program Managers and stakeholders in contract administration.
  • Support the creation of new contracts using our templates for nondisclosure agreements (NDAs), teaming agreements (TAs), subcontracts, and consulting agreements.
  • Ensure the accuracy and completeness of contract records through meticulous auditing and filing.
  • Other job duties as assigned.
