About The Position

Join Thomson Reuters as a Compensation Director, Go to Market and North America, and play a key role in advancing how we attract, retain, and reward talent across our Go to Market organization and North America region. You will lead compensation strategy and advisory work for specific business units, while also supporting Marketing and Print. Additionally, you will own regional cross-business compensation matters for North America, partnering closely with HR and business leaders. Responsibilities include overseeing key compensation processes like the Annual Compensation Process, evolving pay range and incentive structures, and providing expertise on regulatory and policy considerations for North America. This role involves collaboration with global peers and the Design & Analytics team to deliver insight-driven solutions.

Requirements

  • Extensive compensation experience with a sales and marketing focus (typically 10+ years in compensation/reward roles).
  • Significant experience designing and managing compensation and incentive programs for sales, marketing, and associated go-to-market functions.
  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated strong quantitative skills and advanced Excel capability.
  • Proven experience managing compensation across US and Canadian legal and regulatory frameworks.
  • Comfortable operating with significant autonomy in a hybrid environment.
  • Skilled at listening, influencing, and explaining complex compensation topics to commercial and HR leaders.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience in SaaS or a similar technology environment is highly desirable.
  • Experience designing sales incentive plans, quota-setting frameworks, or go-to-market compensation structures.
  • Ideally actively engaged in the use of AI tools to support compensation work.
  • Experience developing and delivering AI-enabled solutions is a distinct advantage.
  • Demonstrated engagement with business strategy to inform compensation management.
  • Track record of simplifying, automating, and streamlining compensation processes.

Responsibilities

  • Lead compensation strategy and advice for Go to Market businesses, providing guidance, recommendations, and analysis to HR and business partners.
  • Own regional cross-business compensation matters for North America, ensuring consistency, market competitiveness, and regulatory compliance.
  • Own and deliver the Annual Compensation Process (ACP) for assigned businesses, overseeing data readiness, plan set-up, and validation.
  • Develop and maintain pay and incentive structures for sales, marketing, and go-to-market roles, analyzing market movement and evolving compensation frameworks.
  • Govern compensation change activity in Workday, reviewing, challenging, and approving compensation-related requests.
  • Act as a global reward partner and framework owner, supporting assigned business or functional areas and owning assigned job families.
  • Drive insight, compliance, and change by partnering with Analysts to specify models and reporting, advising on evolving North American pay-related regulations, and providing compensation expertise for M&A activities.
