About The Position

A strategic leadership position with oversight of the daily operations of geographically defined northern Virginia neighborhoods (e.g. counseling and support, senior living care and hospice) while ensuring a vision and strategy for future growth. Daily operations would include but not be limited to patient access, operating budget, contractual compliance, knowledge of insurance referrals and preauthorization requirements, health information management, patient care transitions, environmental safety, regulatory compliance, patient safety, quality initiatives, and patient and family experience. This position is responsible for developing and enhancing relationships with health systems, residential care facilities, and community leaders and organizations with a goal of increasing visibility and community affiliations and partnerships. Supervises Neighborhood staff.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing or Health Care Administration or another related field
  • Registered Nurse in Virginia or able to obtain VA nursing license if not already active
  • 10 plus years of progressive leadership experience in a health care related field, preferably in serious illness or end of life care
  • Demonstrated experience in network collaborations
  • Demonstrated Leadership Skills
  • Knowledge of the programs and services in their geographic area
  • Strong collaboration skills
  • Demonstrated collaboration/partnerships with other healthcare or community service entities
  • Skill in using computers and a variety of personal productivity applications
  • Skill in oral and written communication
  • Skill in data analysis and interpretation
  • Ability to problem solve effectively
  • Ability to develop goals, objectives, critical paths, systems, new programs and policies and procedures
  • Employee has knowledge and understanding of patient and workforce safety as it relates to job duties
  • Demonstrates competency in the delivery of care and applies the knowledge to meet age-specific needs if applicable
