Under limited supervision, the Director, Community and Occupational Programs provides leadership, oversight, coordination, and general direction for a diverse portfolio of continuing education programs and courses, including community service programs, personal enrichment courses, occupational training, short-term healthcare training, workforce development offerings, and other non-credit programs designed to meet student, employer, community, and regional workforce needs. The Director works collaboratively with the Vice President of Continuing Education/Workforce Development to identify, develop, and implement new programs and courses that strengthen the Continuing Education/Workforce Development division, expand enrollment, respond to community and employer needs, and support the College’s mission. This position reports directly to the Vice President of Continuing Education/Workforce Development and exercises direct supervision over assigned program instructional staff. The Director frequently collaborates with other program directors, division chairs, faculty, staff, and subject-matter experts when courses intersect with specialized program areas, regulatory requirements, or established areas of oversight.
