About The Position

The Director, Communications – Deputy Managing Partner is a senior communications leader responsible for shaping and delivering integrated, enterprise-wide internal communications in support of the Deputy Managing Partner and aligned leadership priorities. The role spans communications for Markets, Finance, Operations, Talent, Risk Management, and firmwide transformation initiatives, ensuring clarity, cohesion, and impact across a complex, matrixed organization. The role will also support any communications related to our Super Region operational connectivity and member firm relations drive under the Deputy. Operating as a trusted advisor to senior leadership, this role partners closely with the Chief Communications Officer and Communications Leaders to translate strategy into compelling narratives, enable transformation, manage risk, and inspire EY people through disciplined, high-impact communications execution.

  • Proven track record leading integrated, enterprise communications.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of integrated internal communications strategies aligned to Deputy Managing Partner priorities and enterprise objectives.
  • Serve as the primary communications advisor and point of contact for the Deputy Managing Partner and senior leaders across Markets, Finance, Operations, Talent, and Risk.
  • Directly manage Directors who lead communications teams supporting core business functions, enabling alignment and execution at scale.
  • Translate complex business strategy, operating model changes, and transformation initiatives into clear, compelling internal messaging, connecting the dots across all programs and demonstrating clear alignment with our firm strategy and ambitions.
  • Understand our Super Region construct and global and member firm connectivity in order to effectively enable communication and connectivity across the network.
  • Ensure communications are connected across functions, regions, and leadership voices.
  • Partner closely with the Chief Communications Officer and senior Communications Leaders to align messaging and resources.
  • Provide strategic counsel, judgment, and risk oversight on high-impact and sensitive internal communications.
  • Champion best-in-class internal communications practices, leveraging AI and technology and innovative communication channels.
