About The Position

Remix Therapeutics is seeking a Director to translate commercial strategy into an actionable enterprise launch plan and align stakeholders around priorities and delivery. The Director will lead integrated launch management for the potential launch of REM-422, subject to regulatory approval, while functional leaders remain accountable for their respective strategies and deliverables. The role works across Commercial, Medical Affairs, Clinical Development, Regulatory, Market Access, Technical Operations, Quality, Finance, Legal and Compliance, IT, and Human Resources to connect workstreams, surface risks, and support timely leadership decisions. This is a hands-on leadership role requiring practical process-building, influence without direct authority, and the ability to move between strategic planning and detailed execution. Remix Therapeutics is a clinical-stage biotechnology company developing small molecule therapies designed to reprogram RNA processing. Its REMaster™ platform combines data science, biomolecular sciences, and chemistry to identify orally administered compounds that modulate gene expression. REM-422 is an investigational small molecule being evaluated in clinical programs for adenoid cystic carcinoma, acute myeloid leukemia, and high-risk myelodysplastic syndrome. The position is responsible for integrated planning, coordination, execution, and tracking of launch activities. The Director will establish practical governance and project management practices, maintain an integrated roadmap and risk register, facilitate decisions and cross-functional coordination, communicate readiness to leadership, and support readiness reviews and launch simulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related discipline, or equivalent relevant experience.
  • 10 or more years of relevant experience in biotechnology or pharmaceuticals, including substantial responsibility for commercial project management, launch readiness, or cross-functional program leadership.
  • Demonstrated leadership of at least one product launch from prelaunch planning through commercialization, with direct responsibility for an integrated launch plan and governance.
  • Understand the sequence and dependencies of commercialization, including regulatory milestones, medical readiness, market access, patient services, field execution, distribution, supply, and commercial systems.
  • Apply integrated scheduling, critical path analysis, capacity planning, change control, scenario planning, and risk management.
  • Use tools such as Smartsheet, Microsoft Project, or comparable platforms to support execution.
  • Align senior stakeholders and functional experts without direct authority, resolve disagreements constructively, and secure clear commitments across competing priorities.
  • Experience in a small or emerging biotechnology company, including building capabilities with lean teams, limited infrastructure, and external service providers.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with a company’s first commercial launch is strongly preferred.
  • Experience with oncology and/or rare disease therapies is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain the integrated launch roadmap, including workstreams, deliverables, owners, milestones, interdependencies, and the critical path from prelaunch preparation through early commercialization.
  • Partner with functional leaders to translate launch objectives into functional plans, readiness criteria, resource requirements, and measurable outcomes.
  • Reconcile competing priorities and identify gaps between functional plans.
  • Establish fit-for-purpose launch governance, a cross-functional launch team, workstream meetings, decision rights, and escalation pathways.
  • Lead focused meetings with clear agendas, decisions, owners, and follow-up actions.
  • Maintain a decision log and ensure unresolved issues reach the appropriate decision-maker.
  • Provide concise leadership updates on readiness, critical dependencies, and decisions required; present options and tradeoffs with a recommended path forward.
  • Build productive relationships across internal teams and external partners, clarify expectations, resolve handoff gaps, and address capacity constraints before they affect launch readiness.
  • Implement practical project management standards, templates, dashboards, and a shared source of launch information, keeping processes proportional to the organization’s size and needs.
  • Maintain an integrated register of risks, assumptions, issues, and dependencies; assign owners, evaluate potential impact, and track mitigation plans, contingency actions, and escalation triggers.
  • Assist in readiness reviews and launch simulations to test critical workflows, including the path from prescription through coverage, dispensing, and patient support.
  • Confirm evidence of readiness and close identified gaps.
