DIRECTOR - CLINICAL SERVICES (Pediatric Behavioral Health)
About The Position
Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital is seeking an exceptional Director of Clinical Services to join our team of dedicated behavioral health professionals! The Director of Clinical Services has 24/7 responsibility for the provision of quality clinical care. Duties and responsibilities include: supervising all clinical program activities and interactions with patients for all in-patient units; designing and leading implementation of clinical services and programming, as well as ensuring programs meet the needs of the community and the facility's performance goals and objectives; assessing the quality of our clinical programming and social service provision to patients and families; assuring maintenance of standards for quality clinical services as defined by professional bodies, the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations and other accrediting organizations. Garfield Park Behavioral Hospital is dedicated to providing behavioral health and psychiatric support to children and teens ages 3 to 17. Quality behavioral health is our passion. Requirements
- Master’s or Doctorate Degree in Social Work, Clinical Psychology required.
- 3+ years’ experience working with a psychiatric mental health population in an acute inpatient setting
- one + year supervisory experience.
- LCSW, LCPC, or Licensed Psychologist
- Knowledge of individual and family therapy theory and practice
- Group leadership skills
- Knowledge of age specific growth and development
- Knowledge of crisis and behavior management
- Knowledge of theory and practice of assessments
- Able to work cooperatively with other hospital staff and involved community agencies
- Good organization and critical thinking skills
- Oral and written communication skills
Responsibilities
