The Director of Clinical Informatics and Information Technology serves as the technology leader for the NYU Student Health Center (SHC) and the single senior leader for its distinct but closely coordinated Clinical Informatics and Information Technology functions, which operate under a unified management structure. Reporting through NYU IT and holding shared operational accountability with SHC leadership in accordance with the Project UnITy Agreement, the Director connects University technology strategy with clinical operations. The Director establishes technology and informatics strategy, translates clinical and business needs into sustainable solutions, and ensures that SHC systems, services, data, platforms, architecture, security practices, and technology investments align with NYU standards and priorities. The Director is accountable for reliable and secure clinical technology services, EHR architecture and optimization, related clinical applications, data and analytics capabilities, cybersecurity and regulatory compliance, and delivery of the health information technology portfolio. The Director provides organizational leadership for nine direct reports whose positions span separate SHC and NYU IT HR and budget lines; builds and develops a high-performing, service-oriented team; partners with clinical, operational, and University leaders; and advances technology that supports safe, effective, equitable, and high-quality care across NYU's global health network and public health responsibilities.
