Director, Business Systems & GTM Technology

PEXNew York, NY
$150,000 - $180,000Hybrid

About The Position

As Director of Business Systems & GTM Technology, you will be responsible for the strategy, architecture, and execution of the tools, integrations, and processes that power our go-to-market motion, leading a small team of business systems professionals and partnering closely with RevOps, sales, engineering, and the data team. This role exists to bring structure, governance and execution speed to the systems that power PEX’s revenue engine. The right person will be hands-on enough to understand the architecture and delivery details, but senior enough to set direction, manage priorities and create accountability across tools, data, integrations and team execution.

Requirements

  • 7+ years in business systems, GTM technology, marketing operations, or a closely related function, with direct hands-on ownership of Salesforce and HubSpot
  • Strong experience managing and developing IC reports in technical or operational disciplines
  • Technical enough to evaluate architecture, write a requirements document, own an integration decision, and hold a developer accountable
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines, change management, and release governance
  • Familiarity with IVR integrations (inContact, Five9, Genesys, or similar)
  • Familiarity with modern data stacks (Snowflake, dbt, Power BI or similar BI tooling)
  • Working knowledge of consent management platforms (OneTrust or similar) and Google Tag Manager / Google Analytics / Posthog
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to strengthen governance over tools and platforms connected to CRM systems
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders — marketing, sales, and engineering equally
  • Experience with agile methodologies
  • Strong understanding of GTM data flows, attribution models, and integration patterns between CRM, marketing automation, and BI
  • Ability to operate individually and as part of a team

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the business-side architect for Salesforce, owning data model, process design, and change governance, and own the SFDX-based CI/CD release process
  • Manage and direct a Salesforce developer and a GTM analyst — translating business requirements into executable work, holding delivery accountability, and developing the team toward greater autonomy
  • Provide governance for connected GTM tools including Gong, Orum, and the inContact / Salesforce integration layer
  • Manage the OneTrust, Google Tag Manager, and Google Analytics relationship, ensuring compliant and accurate marketing data flows
  • Partner with the data team (Snowflake, dbt, Power BI) to centralize marketing analytics and surface campaign performance, attribution, and funnel reporting that marketing and sales can act on
  • Own the internally developed .NET CRM service — the integration layer between the PEX platform and Salesforce REST APIs. Coordinating with PEX engineering for ongoing maintenance and evolution
  • Establish KPIs, dashboards, and a measurement culture across the function, pushing toward signal over noise
  • Act as the day-to-day decision-making layer between the CIO and the team on business systems issues, reducing escalation and enabling faster execution
  • Evaluate and recommend tooling changes with a bias toward simplicity, AI-enabled, and total cost of ownership.

Benefits

  • Full-spectrum medical, dental, and vision coverage.
  • Classpass & Onepass
  • Unlimited PTO so you never have to choose between work and life.
  • Hybrid work flexibility out of our New York City office.
  • Competitive 401(k) matching program.
