About The Position

This position is a replacement for the Business Manager role, upgraded to a Director level. The Director of Business Operations will supervise, implement, coordinate, plan for, and evaluate the business operations for the Division. This includes statistical, performance, and managerial reporting, decision and budget support, capital planning, and process improvement. The role also involves managing employees in areas such as time/attendance, workplace safety, education and development, time management, performance evaluation, and goal development. Additionally, the Director will create and manage support systems for cost-effective supplies, equipment, and management information, oversee billing operations and information systems staff to ensure regulatory compliance and accurate data reporting, and participate in financial analysis and planning, including monitoring budget variances and identifying opportunities for performance improvement. The role emphasizes standardizing processes for efficiency, ensuring quality customer service, demonstrating competence in management principles, meeting regulatory standards, and participating in performance improvement activities to enhance care quality, patient outcomes, and cost-effectiveness.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Business Administration or Master's in Health Administration required.
  • Two years experience required.
  • Microsoft Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

  • Supervises, implements, coordinates, plans for and evaluates the business operations for the Division including: statistical, performance and managerial reporting, decision and budget support, capital planning, and process improvement.
  • Manages and monitors employees in the areas of time/attendance, workplace safety, education and development, time management, performance evaluation and goal development.
  • Creates and manages support systems to assure availability of cost effective supplies, equipment, and management information.
  • Oversees all billing operations and information systems staff to ensure that regulatory requirements are met and that all statistical data is reported accurately.
  • Participates in financial analysis and planning including monitoring and reporting on monthly budget variances and opportunities to improve performance.
  • Standardizes processes to improve efficiencies.
  • Ensures that quality customer service is provided to all customers including inter and intradepartmental, medical and hospital personnel.
  • Demonstrates competence in the application of management principles.
  • Assures that all regulatory standards are met.
  • Participates in and identifies performance improvement activities to improve quality of care, promote excellent patient outcomes, and provide a cost-effective environment for patient care.
