Retool addresses this by providing a platform that connects to business data, enforces policies, and allows for reuse of components, making it safe to ship software. The company has already helped automate over 100 million hours of work, allowing teams to focus on strategic tasks. Retool is experiencing rapid growth and is entering a new stage of maturity, requiring experienced leadership to help scale operations. The Business Operations (BizOps) team plays a crucial role in making pivotal business decisions, resource allocation, product pricing, and opportunity pursuit. This is a fast-paced environment with diverse challenges, requiring individuals to wear multiple hats to ensure business success.

Requirements

  • 8-10+ years of work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience at a top-tier management consulting, investment banking, or PE/VC firm.
  • 2+ years of experience at a high-growth tech company.
  • Excellent analytical problem-solving skills with the ability to unearth insights and translate them into actionable recommendations.
  • BA/BS in Economics, Math, Finance, Engineering, CS, or other quantitative field.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, capable of synthesizing findings and articulating them concisely to various audiences.
  • Self-starter with a demonstrated ability to adapt to a rapidly-changing environment.
  • Extremely organized and structured, with a proven ability to manage projects and processes end-to-end.
  • Ability to effectively build and maintain cross-functional relationships, manage multiple competing priorities, and drive projects to completion.

Responsibilities

  • Partner with leaders across product, engineering, GTM, and operations to support strategic decision-making and initiative prioritization.
  • Take end-to-end ownership of high-value initiatives and open questions, from problem structuring to solution implementation.
  • Own the company's OKR process, including designing the goal-setting framework, facilitating cross-functional alignment, managing the portfolio view, reporting progress and risks, and driving key results to completion.
  • Evaluate opportunities to improve Retool's operations, partnering with C-suite, Finance, and other Operations teams to support IPO readiness.
  • Incubate and help run new functions and teams.
