The Director, Business Intelligence is the strategic leader of the Company’s enterprise data, analytics, and forecasting capabilities. This role transforms data scattered across CRM, ERP, HRIS, project performance, and financial systems into a unified, decision-grade intelligence layer that the CEO, CFO, and executive team rely on to run the business. The Director sets the technical and operational direction for the Business Intelligence platform, builds and leads a high-performing analytics team, and is personally accountable for the quality, accuracy, and executive usability of every metric, dashboard, and forecast the Company depends on. This is a strategic leadership role; the Director must possess the technical depth to credibly direct a team building on the Microsoft data platform, but day-to-day execution is delegated to senior engineers and analysts on the team. The role includes leading the design and delivery of an integrated forecasting capability that unifies data across pipeline, demand, resource, financial, and cost systems, and providing leadership with what-if scenario tooling that models the downstream impacts of business decisions on operating expense, technology costs, headcount, and cash flow. The Director works closely with finance, operations, delivery, and technology leadership to translate business questions into analytics products that drive decisions. This role is responsible for establishing and maintaining BI platform standards, modernizing the data and analytics estate on Azure Data Lake and Microsoft Fabric, and ensuring consistency, governance, and definitional integrity across the Company’s reporting and analytics products. The Director provides technical leadership, escalates complex issues when necessary, and ensures alignment between platform architecture, analytics delivery, and business needs. Key areas of responsibility include executive-grade reporting and analytics, enterprise forecasting and scenario planning, BI platform strategy and architecture (Microsoft SQL Server, SQL Server Analysis Services, SQL Server Reporting Services, Power BI, Azure Data Lake, Microsoft Fabric), team leadership and development, and data governance across source systems. This role also includes oversight of cross-functional metric ownership, single-source-of-truth standards, and the modernization roadmap that retires fragmented legacy reporting. The Director, Business Intelligence operates with a high degree of autonomy, setting direction for both technical and analytical work. This role is expected to lead and develop team members, prioritize work across the BI function, and ensure effective collaboration between analytics, engineering, finance, operations, and delivery teams.
