Director, Business Intelligence

Topgolf•Dallas, TX

About The Position

The Director, Business Intelligence is the senior leader accountable for business intelligence end to end, including data quality and consistency, metric governance, self-service analytics, and the use of analytics and AI to improve decisions and work. The role establishes a trusted data foundation that enables teams across Topgolf to use AI confidently. It leads a team of approximately 20 product owners and data engineers, partners with commercial, operations, finance, and venue leaders, and represents analytics in Technology planning and architecture decisions. The position reports to the VP of Finance and BI and serves the whole company, not Finance alone. In the first 12 months, success includes establishing a consistent set of certified metrics with named owners, retiring conflicting reports, growing self-service adoption, and delivering trusted operational views for venue leaders. AI assistants should answer business questions using certified metrics, honor access rules, and have a defined review and correction process. The role also develops advanced forecasting capabilities to improve visibility into revenue, demand, and business performance. The Director leads and develops the BI team, owns its delivery standards and cadence, and sets the BI product roadmap across corporate functions and venue operations. The role establishes data quality and governance practices, oversees curated business-facing data models and reporting, and chairs a data governance group. It partners closely with Technology teams and upstream data owners on architecture, integrations, pipeline reliability, data contracts, platforms, security, and analytics capabilities. The Director also owns the reporting and analytics platform, annual BI budget, vendor relationships, and cost-management efforts.
