About The Position

The Director, Business Development will lead the overall business development strategy and operations, ensuring alignment with business objectives and driving the growth of the Contract Research Organization. This role involves strategic leadership, executive guidance, cross-functional collaboration, market assessment, talent development, and budget management.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field with 15+ years experience OR Master's Degree or equivalent in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field with 13+ years experience OR Ph.D. or equivalent in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or related field with 11+ years experience. Significant work experience will be considered as a substitution for education.
  • Extensive leadership experience in business development, with a focus on the CRO industry.
  • Willingness and ability to influence external customers and prospective customers to purchase the Company’s services.
  • Excellent interpersonal effectiveness and human interaction skills.
  • Demonstrated ability and willingness to influence and lead outside of hierarchical designations.
  • Strong orientation toward integrating the commercial and technical aspects of the company’s operations.
  • Demonstrated ability to establish and develop long-term client relationships.
  • Excellent written and oral communication, as well as organizational skills.
  • Effective prioritization and time management skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Previous experience working in a CRO, Life Science, Med Device, Pharma, or Healthcare.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with other departments to align business development efforts with overall business objectives.
  • Analyze market dynamics, competitor activities, and customer feedback.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop the business development team.
  • Oversee the business development budget and allocate resources effectively.
